I think the situation is graver than it looks and the table can be easily overturned. The wicket has eased up considerably, and if Australia ends up making 450-500 runs in the second innings, Pakistan will be left with a target of around 250-300 on a fifth day wicket. That will be near impossible to get in the fourth innings.

Australian batsmen will be looking to make amends, and couple with an easier wicket, 450-500 runs is not out of question. I am keeping my fingers crossed. After the first day, I had hoped for an innings defeat, but the 200 runs lead may not amount to much.

The match proceedings thus far seem to indicate your fears coming true…

He has become what Kaneria was (or is??), will bowl few good deliveries in an over mixed with really bad ones, unable to consistently bowl good ones.

Definitely, in first innings many of their batsmen got out taking risks, now they will be more cautious PLUS wicket has eased out so they will probably be looking to play out 2 days.
