well played Pakistan. India has tough 4 days ahead. Considering Indians have to bat 4th inning, India will have to match Pakistan's 1st inning total. Even a lead of 100 runs means Banglore-repeated.

the teams done well, india made a huge mistakje by goin in with a “strike bowler” like ajit agarkar…zaheer, bala or nehra wudav been much better…i think bala wudav been there best bet cuz he’s got a strong record against us…
inzi, afridi and akmal shud build on this and really punish india…esp. if afridi clicks, 650 to 675 by tea time tomorrow seems feasible
then give shoaib n rana a go at ganguly (hopefully he’ll open 
)

Well done pakistan. Indian bowling was toothless hopefully they will do better tomorrow and bowl aggressively. Whatever the team one has to do their best in the circumstances provided but i could hardly see any indian doing that.

Oh bhai did u ever read why I posted the above quoted comments..I had mentioned that the pitch wasn’t a green top after weeks of murmuring and saby comes along to say that he had predicted that the pitch was going to be a flat track…Everybody yes knew that…Also in India we have dust bowls, but not flat tracks like these for test matches…

Wow, what a day :)
Pakistan will probably go for 600 before tea tomorrow, very possible as Inzi, Afridi and Akmal are still in the hutch with Yousuf and Younis looking nowhere close to getting out. That means we'll only have to bat once, and it's going to take some batting from the Indians to salvage a draw.
Opening with Ganguly is a smart move by Dravid. What could be better than a couple of Ganguly failures? Maybe that will give Dravid & Chappell the okay to drop him for the series.

Oh by the way, I just got back from an All-Indian BB and boy are u guys nuts or what...calling Younis "Jehadi Khan" and "Shoaib Chuckator". Come'on yaar, we all know Shoaib is clean.

Well he has done good at this position whenever he got chance. So I think it is not far fetched Idea to have him there. I think he has solid defence to pull it off.

O bhai I didnt say I predicted that. I said that I anticipated that alongwith many others.
Secondly, Indian pitches are not dustbowls usually but offer more assitance to Kumble and Harbhajan and we couldnt have let that happen, could we?

Younis had a quieter series against England and swords were being sharpened yet again. But he shut up his critics for the umpteenth time. Malik performed admirably on a heaven but fell to a stupid shot yet again. It seems he likes getting out in that fashion. Mohammad Yousuf was elegant, stylish and thoughtful. All in all a great day and with Inzi, Afridi and Akmal still to go we can expect more dominance for pakistan in this match.
Tickets for this match were dstributed for free from 6th-10th but most of them were being sold for stupid prices today by tthe people who got those tickets. A very large portion of crowd was still waiting just because they dint have tickets to get in. Crowd was not THAT bad but it could have been a lot more had pcb bothered to save some tickets for the match day. It was great fun though, as it always is. Sitting in stadium and cheering for the team but damn they didnt allow either mobiles or cameras or water bottles to bang on seats. Against England, all such items were allowed

Great now we will have whinners after whinners. First It was english and than you. They whinned that they got flat wickets, It was funny that on those flat wickets they crumbled almost 3 times (if you include the last day of 2nd test as well). Bunch of chokers.
And now you will also whine. I don't know if you have flat tracks in India often or not. All I know is that in India, there are spinners paradise/batsman graveyard pitches where a laloo panjoo spinner like kartik can spin the ball like shane warne in his deadliest form.
Atleast these flat tracks are not giving an obvious advantage to any single team like the spinner track specially designed for kumble, harbhajan, kartik, and tendulkar.

When Tendulkar was forced to take Azhar in the team against Australia, Tendulkar forced Azhar to open and Brett Lee handled the rest. I suspect Dravid and Chappell have the same sort of trick in mind for Ganguly. He will NOT be allowed to play in the next two matches unless he performs (i.e. no ducks in either inning and at least 50+ once).
