Pakistan to build one of the World's tallest building in Karachi

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

It has not been updated for months! I got busy but we are working on updating the site and putting forth our new expansion plans.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

***One thing is certain such a tall structure on the Karachi waterfront will definitely block some poor guys sea breeze on summer nights…:frowning: ***

***But in turn will also provide shade from the Hot summer sun during the day time… ***

Re: Pakistan to build the World’s tallest building in Karachi

You are not capable of constructive thought?

It seems so many Pakistanis just do not know how to grasp logic.

Re: Pakistan to build the World's tallest building in Karachi

don't worry.. no steel building has ever in the history of steel buildings collapsed due to fires started by planes crashing into them.. Not a single one.. come to think of it. No steel buildings have ever collapsed due to ANY sort of fire.. EVER.. .so it'll be safe :)

Re: Pakistan to build the World’s tallest building in Karachi

^ You sure have a short fuse. What’s with your negativity? Where’s the enthusiasm for over the top projects?

All I want to do, is build a sky scrapper for Pakistan. I even have pictures to prove its a legitimate project. Admittedly, my efforts aren’t well thought out. BUT nor are all these stupid claims that Pakistan will have the “worlds tallest building”. Lets start with working elevators first. If they can get away without logic, why cant I? I’m just following our great visionaries.

My efforts are on par with every other constructive visionary in Pakistan. Just like them, I only have a colour photograph of a very tall building. Just like them, I dont have any investors. Just like them, I dont have any support…well, except for the million patriots I’ve fooled. It’s only fair that I get a a page in Dawn or The Nation also. Maybe even a page on your website.

I hope you understand what sarcasm is, I would hate to hear you whine again.

Re: Pakistan to build the World's tallest building in Karachi

First of all, it was misquote by the media so put the blame where it belongs. Second of all, it seems you are venting out your inferiority complex. I have no more patience for Pakistanis such as you and others who cant distinguish between a private or a government effort.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

What is really pissing me off is that our freakin' country has freakin' people dying of poverty, we have f**kin' levels of pollution and inhumanity present in our society and country... and yet all the money we get is just used to "show" us as progressive even though the real solution would be solve the problems first and then do the "extra" (which is the only way I can put it right now) work. Also let's just admit that even though Pakistan is heading ahead (even if slowly) we at this level need to fix our problems first before we actually dare to SHOW that we are progressive.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

by that token tall bldgs should should not have been built because of the poverty in canada?

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

^^ Since when did Canada have poverty? It's 2007 man, get real.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

u are comparing 'poverty' in Canada to Pakistan?!

Re: Pakistan to build the World’s tallest building in Karachi

  1. Inferiority complex? Pardon me, but your superiority complex doesn’t have much going for it. For as long as projects flop, I’ll be right there pointing at you and laughing.

If you meant to imply I think Pakistani projects are inferior - I do.

  1. Are you disillusion? This 1,947 foot high building has political ploy written ALL over it, and that sure as heck makes it political. When was the last time a 2,000 foot building was built without government subsidies. No private effort of such caliber is ever without government support AND involvement. Especially in Pakistan where cronies love poking their noses around, heck, didn’t Musharaf personally announce the project? Isn’t Shaukat Aziz at every other super market opening? Are our power plants really private?

This is a private effort, and our government is smart enough to tag along for a cut. Siemens snatches your energy sector for pennies, and your government gets a pat on the back for modernizing. Yay! In Pakistan, it doesn’t matter if it’s private or not, they collude. Good luck trying to differentiate the two when you have the president of Pakistan thanking himself for one of the “worlds tallest building”. Private investors + political tool = mutual cooperation. Together as one.

For your own good, stick to projects that can be realized (ex. Karachi Financial Towers). There are many other projects in Pakistan…real projects. Not political attempts at international fame or local popularity. It must hurt to clap, whistle and taunt as much as you do.

PS. You sure love the novelty of a 1,947 foot high building. Damn patriotic whiner.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

now you are proving that not only do you not understand the difference between public programs and private development, but that you also are unaware of the socio-economic challenges in your new country.

here is something to give you a reality check.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

no

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

ok then, as they say....'my bad', but perhaps your analogy was not appropriate

Re: Pakistan to build the World's tallest building in Karachi

hskhan bhai please grow up!

Re: Pakistan to build the World's tallest building in Karachi

Quite accurate, but u will get too many teenger's on this forum, who support the dictator, claiming otherwise, despite the ground reality in Pakistan

Re: Pakistan to build the World’s tallest building in Karachi

What are you pakis gonna put in that building?.. more cattle and terrorists?.. idiot!

Re: Pakistan to build the World’s tallest building in Karachi

u need a new line

Re: Pakistan to build the World's tallest building in Karachi

The tower will stand erect like a phallic symbol as a stark reminder as to why some men - like mush - feel the need to build big things to compensate for their minuscule johnsons.

Re: Infrastructure/Skyscrapers of Pakistan

I don’t think he meant it literally

Even the world’s richest country, USA has poverty, but to compare a country like Canada to Pakistan, whether discussing skyscrapers, poverty, or almost anything, just does not work
