actually, in crains business real estate issue a month ago they had a picture of it, along with the other skyscrapers being built in dubai, seoul, shanghai, chicago..sadly..without my knowledge, the magazine was thrown in recycle bin :(

We are the nation who travels in the bus & think of how to break the seat we are sitting in. If Exams are made a day earlier our students burn all the public transport provided by the university. Basant killed 200 people so Government put a ban on it - people attacked the government buildings. Denmark put sketches, we burn our houses. In Punjabi we call it "Dunger".
Government should educate people so they adherence to their rights & duty goes upto a certain level, & tell them, we buy buses by the Taxes you pay, so its your money u are burning. Teach the "dungers" so they end up like "humans". Why? Because when those Dungers will enter 200 stories building they will ... break the elevators, pull the wooden furniture so that they can burn it to have warmth in winter or sell it to make some money.
Pakistan is a country where Electricity plays hide & seek everyday several times - Will they put a special Nuclear power plant to support this building ?
Trust me I have so many question - that building the building is not an issue - issue is how to make it run .... in Pakistan ? ? ? Where u will see people will "murlee" in hand ... having "lacha / dhoti / lungi" sitting on stool made of hay on 86th floor of that building ... some "dungers" trying to break the glass window on 97th floor so that they can have fresh air (imagine falling from 97th floor in search of fresh air - ya one will have loads of fresh air from 97th floor until he hits the ground).

How does the govt. teach citizens their civic duties? I thought those were taught in thier homes first by their parents.

- Respect public property.
- Obey the law.

The Burj Dubai: Construction began in 2005 and is expected to be complete by 2008. At an estimated height of over 800 meters, it will easily the be world’s tallest building when finished. It will be almost 40% taller than the the current tallest building, the Taipei 101.
