Yaar ... my figures were right, 100 percent :) ... First of all, in 1970 election (well, election was due in 1970 but happened in Jan 1971) ... only 300 NA seats were contested.
I just wrote that 'I am not sure that those women seats were taken or not' as joke. Actually, I am pretty sure that assemblies (NA as well as PA) were not called and thus no reserved women seat were taken. Hence in reality, Awami League got 160 out of 300 seats, not 167 out of 313 seats.
Only reason it is occasionally mentioned as 167 out of 313 seats because, since electorate were already elected and Awami League had absolute majority in East Pakistan provincial assembly, there was no chance that they could not have taken those 7 women reserved seats.
As for West Pakistan 6 women reserved seats, since assembly was not called and those seats were undecided, PPP or any western parties are not credited with any of those 6 seats as no party had absolute majority in West Pakistan Assembly, thus result is not certain (most likely PPP would have got 3 or 4 of those 6 reserved seats).
