Is it wise to go after a group that is NOT against Pakistan?
Surely we can just tell them to go back to Afghanistan. Also, we should kick out all Afghan refugees as part of a security sweep.
simply because uncle Sam wants both Shareefs to take action against Haqqani Network...i believe the US is right in not differentiating between good and bad Taalibaans.

Haqani network is not against Pakistan. I read in a newspaper that, this operation is against TTP and uzbak terrorirsts. Ok cool. Kill them all . They are terrorists. But If we are targeting Haqani netwok in this operation, then i do nt support this Operation

Simple logic. There should be only one militia in the country and that is Pak Army. If these groups Haqqani or else are pro Pakistan then they should disband their malitias. Pakistani soils should not be allowed to be used as a launching pad for terrorism within and outside Pakistan. enough is enough. This operation is just a first step in rooting out extremism in our country and no expediences should come in way of achieving this objective.
The situation in Syria and its impact on Iraq has probably brought about the realization in Pakistan Army that a Taliban controlled Afghanistan is not in our interest. If thats the case then the action will need to be across the board (including Haqqani network).

There were a lot more incidents of terrorism happening around the country before this operation began. So it is clear that people who were trying to frighten Pakistanis with Taliban backlash were either naive or khariji supporters themselves.
Kayani was a ... a ... chicken (there is a better 'R' rated word for that). Had he have the courage to take action against Pakistan's enemies earlier, many Pakistani lives would have been saved.
Before getting all abusive against the former general, can you think of a possibility that it might be steps taken by him which have put these barbarians on the back foot? But I guess somebody needs someone to blam, I.e. Needs a villain...general Kiyani did the best... The Swat operation alone is enough for his achievements many enemies of Pakistan would be bitter on him because of this achievement.

Swat operation was done out of necessity. Taliban, who had been given Swat in a plate, were threatening to attack Islamabad itself.
Why would I abuse you? Just because someone raises a different perspective, does not mean abuse. I don't know why you are being so insecure.
It’s Haqqani, not Haqani.
Both Haqqani network and Afghan Taliban are collaborating with TTP in fight against Pakistan.
This is the reason why Pakistan army issued warning to Haqqanis a few month back.
no one should be allowed to use Pakistani territory to destabilize another neighboring country. Any afghan group fighting war against its government should do so from Afghanistan itself.

کيا اس دليل ميں منطق کا کوئ پہلو ہے کہ چونکہ 30 برس قبل امريکہ نے دنيا کے ساتھ مل کر افغانستان پر ہونے والی جارحيت کی مذمت کی تھی اور افغان عوام کے درست موقف کی حمايت کی تھی چنانچہ اب ہميں طالبان کی سوچ اور ان کی فکر کی بھی حمايت کرنی چاہيے، وہی طالبان جنھوں نے القائدہ اور اس کی قيادت کو محفوظ ٹھکانے فراہم کيے۔ ايک ايسی تنظيم جس نے امريکہ کے خلاف جنگ کا باقاعدہ اعلان کر رکھا تھا۔
امريکہ نے 30 برس قبل جو کيا، اسے ہر لحاظ سے ايک درست خارجہ پاليسی قرار ديا جا سکتا ہے جسے دنيا کی تمام اہم اقوام نے درست قرار دے کر اس کی حمايت کی تھی۔ ليکن يہ نہيں بھولنا چاہیے کہ اس وقت بھی امريکی حکومت افغانستان میں مختلف افراد اور گروہوں کو براہراست کنٹرول کرنے اور ہدايات دينے کے عمل کا حصہ نہيں تھی۔ يہ ايک ايسی حقيقت ہے جسے پاکستان ميں امريکہ کے سخت ترين نقاد جرنل حميد گل بھی تسليم کر چکے ہیں۔
