Pakistan is NOT a South Asian Nation

Sorry spock, but maybe its people like you who have been in the way of friendship with Iran and Afghanistan. True we never had warm relationship with Afghans. Iran happened to be the first nation to recognize us. We did have excellent relations with them before the Islamic revolution in 1979. How can you forget the wars with India? It was Iran that helped us in 1965. On the other hand, it was Indonesia’s Suharto who said in 1965 by sending Indonesian naval fleet : “Your dire needs are our dire needs now”. You forgot all that?

Besides, what effort have we made to strengthen our most important relationship with the Muslim neighbors? We never even tried. All we talk about is India India India. Its always war with India and we search for peace. In fact we have no relations with Western neighbors because we did not have an effective foreign policy towards them. We never had cultural exchanges although we have so much in common with them. Sometimes leave your Indian friends aside and meet your Iranian and Afghan brothers without bias. Just try it once and you will know what I am talking about. Even if you think rationalyy it is stupidity not to realize and take advanatge of our relationship with Afghanistan and Iran. In reality we are part of them and tey are part of us. The right thinking and vision is missing.

Indians leave no chance to defame us and cut our roots wherever we are in the world. They may seem friendly but mostly their hearts are black and I have tried it. In fact, our religion has a big clash with theirs. If you be like them , they will love you and embrace you.

Isb, youre complete off track here now, we are not really discussing foriegn relations here. As for friendship with the Arab countries, its just a one sided story, we have always been the ones to offer hands of friendship. You talked about our advantage of our relationship with Afghanistan and Iran? What relationship are you talking about? They dont exactly like us. You mentioned wars with India, how does that change history dating back to a few centuries? Also, didnt arab states wage wars against each other too? You talked about Indians defaming you, dont you do the exact same thing to them? E.O.D., Pakistan is and will continue to be a South Asian Nation, and be part of SAARC, and I dont think that will change. Thanks for ur input, bye

Sorry but what kind of a childish statement is that? Have tehy said in international media they don't like us?

Coming back to the topic, yes we are part of South Asia, but its time we get back to our roots. We should also remain part of SAARC however forge westward relations also because we are rightly part of central asia an middle east.

Dont be such a hypocrite, didnt you say the same thing about indians not liking us? As for as international media, read what Karzai, Dr. Abdullah etc have been saying about Pakistan recently. Iran also showed thier love for us recently remember? Did u even read about the two Pakistanis killed recently? And please dont suggest that we have brotherly relations with them, as we do not.

 Go back to our roots? Instead we need to follow examples from countries with successful ecnomies, leadership, and hardworking people. We are fine where we are, all we need is some consistent leadership and a few years of development.

Spock you gotta be kiddin me…You call Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah the represenattives of the Afghan people? Those thieves, puppets of an occupation force are not the true represenattives. So how can you judge by what they say.

Since religion plays such an important role, wasn’t it from Afghanistan that we got all those great saints that imparted Islam in our country? Don’t we have pashtuns in Pakistan that have their ethincally related brothers in Afganistan? Don’t we have a province of Iran called Sistaan wa Baluchistan bordering Pakistan. So there is this bond that needs to be strengthened.

And quit this negative attitude of yours. If something doesen’t make sense to you in your junoon, you start calling others hypocrete?

Well, werent you asking for ‘international media’? Who else would give you statements on international media, the Afghani government or Osama Bin Ladin?

Maybe, but is that the only thing we have? With that logic, we need to strengthen other bands that exist between India? I am sure you dont want that :hehe:

Stop acting like an idiot, when you put up a silly argument you start bringing in personal attacks. The other day you put up a silly argument, and when you couldnt back it up, you started laughing at the plight of people dying in India with Aids, showing what type of person you are.

Don't you understand we can reap such immense economic benefits by having excellent relationship with Afghanistan----gas pipeline, central asian trade....etc..

You can say we can have that with India too, and we should for our benefit, but why ignore the western side. If we had sour relations with them, so what, we have had 3 wars with India also. Why are you so hesitant not to criticize India - even though it is our enemy number one. We never had any Pakistani forces on our Western borders however we always had forces on the Eastern. Wake up...

I wonder if there is any grey matter up there. This thread is not about foriegn relations with other countries, its about the cultural identity, wake up and go back to the first page. If we develop international relationships with a country like the US, is it because we are culturally similar to them?

.

Now quit this foolish attitude you fool. You are such a typical Pakistani who never forgets the past. I once said what you are saying but I was sorry ofr that, and everytime all you can think of is that. Shame on you…You act as if you are the angel around here, telling us what is right and what is wrong. You are just like the Indians here who do not deserve a response. I was wrong, you are not a decent person afterall.

Thanks for the INSULTS, yet again. But tell me, isnt it shameful to laugh on a person who does not know whether he will live to see tommorow. Very decent indeed. Thats why your in denial all the time?

Read what I wrote instead of quoting again and again the same thing. As I sead you do not deserve a response. :salam:

You have gone majnoon like the group you love so much! I hope you end up in India. Traitor.

But you do respond each time :hehe:. Tell me, where was your enlightened mind, when you had to resort to that personal attack? Was there anything personal I said to you before that? If you cannot carry an argument, just say so.

Just shows what an idiot you are. I hope you end up in osama’s rear , but then again, that was your life long wish, wasnt it.

Thank You very much…for bringing the discussion so far. It was nice knowing who you really are. peace:flower1:

:stupid:

Islamabad, you have rasied some excellent points that make alot of sense:k: People need to start using more logic and relying less on “haan mein haan milana” type of mentality.

What would GS do without intelligent minds like yours :flower2: Thanks again.

"hain me hain milana" (which you have done two times now, in your last two posts)

Also, I wonder why the Pak-Studies history in the Pakistani curriculam, before partition, is the history of the Indian Sub-continent, and not Greek or Afghani history.

Hahahahaha!

^ Y'all are too busy missing the point to look at the trurth staring directly into our faces. WAKE UP! :o Anyhow, I'm out. This thread is going in circles at this point.

^ This is going to sound obnoxious when I don't mean for it to, but what IS the point? Seems like people expressing the same views have different goals in mind.
