Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
quoted for future reference just like I quoted similar comments for third test.
Insha Allah, gandi ho gee app ki:jhanda:
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
lol AQ, did you also quote stuff from the 2nd ODI?
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
Kamran Akmal continues to amaze me with his bad wicket keeping. We need a sepcialist wicket keeper like Rashid Latif and Moin Khan.
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
kamran Akmal was supposed to be one of the best wicket keeper around but he has been disappointing till now, he has dropped catches at crucial times and missed stumpings yesterday as well (normally he is good with his stumpings though).
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
Even though we lost the last 2 games but i am sure we would have won both if we had won the toss. I will really see how freely Sehwag and co amke their runs once they are given the target of around 280-320.
They have been enjoying batting first till now but i can assure you that we will win almost every time we win the toss in next 4 games.
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
comoon guy gave his best sure everyone makes mistakes and plzzz dont we dont neeed those oldies back they did good for PAKI and we wanna be proud of them they r legend but its to keep moving

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
Remember World Cup 2003?
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
you mean to say???
We are talking about Indian pitches here and if you can recall the impatc of tosses in previous matches, you would know what i mean:
Test 1: India won toss and almost won the match.
Test 2: India won the toss and the match as well.
Test 3: Pakistan won the toss and the match
1st ODI: India won the TOSS and the MATCH.
2nd ODI: India won the TOSS and the MATCH.
You see what i mean now???

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
Some thoughts after seeing an unchanged side play (and lose) the first two ODI's.
Now that we know that we can win without Shoaib Akhtar, we should also try to form a pace attack without Sami. He should be "rested" and perhaps Shahid Nazir should be tried.
We need a strike spinner. Not someone who gives a lot of runs in the middle of the innings and then takes a couple of wickets in the end when it does not matter much. This is what Hafeez and Arshad have been doing. If I am to ax one, I'd drop Hafeez and bring in Kaneria.
If Younis gets fit, probably he can be tried in place of Shoaib Malik.
Razzaq should be sent in upper order (one down) because he is not too good in the middle of the innings when spinners are in action (he can effectively blast at the end though, when generally fast bowlers are bowling)
As always, this will not practically happen but here is Doc's 11 for the 3rd ODI.
(1) Salman Butt
(2) Afridi
(3) Razzaq
(4) Inzi
(5) Youhana
(6) Younis/Shoiab (if Younis is not fit)
(7) Akmal
(8) Rana Naveed
(9) Arshad
(10) Shahid Nazir
(11) Kaneria
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
I think we need 3 changes for the next ODI. Arshad, Malik and Hafeez should be dropped and Asim, Younis and Kaneria brought in.

,Down Loading some sense into Inzi Praa,
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
ditto…
(and may be shaid nazir instead of sami…though that would be little too much because shahid has not played any game on this tour so far except one small unoffical one day match)
Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
Wow…well I think Mr. Aalsi doesn’t have a very good reputation here
(Just kidding). Anyway I don’t need a link I already have one.:french:

Re: Pakistan-India, Third ODI, Sat 9th April, Jamshedpur
As much as we all luv to see arshad khan not in the playing 11, I think he has done his work so far, I mean he is way better than Hafeez and hafeez is no wonder with bat, his and Rana batting avg is almost same as hafeez so why not rana bat where hafeez does.
here are Arshad khan stats and I think we will see him in all 6 ODIs:
1st ODI:
Arshad Khan 6 0 33 4
2nd ODI:
Arshad Khan 5 0 43 2
ND your team is good but we dont need afridi at top of the order, he can swing the momentum back in Pakistans favor from down the order, where he has been more productive with consistency.
1) Butt
2) +Akmal (we have nothing to loose, he has out performed up/lower afridi; batting)
3) Malik
4) Inzi
5) Yousef ( I wish he could start batting at 1-down again)
6) Younis/ Kamal (if younis is not fit) & wht hafeez is bowling I think younis can
7) Razzaq
8) Afridi
9) Rana
10) Nazir/ Rao (coz sami needs a cool long rest)
11) Arshad

My sentiments! ^^ :k: although I don’t like selecting a playing 11 as it might not make any difference in actualities, ![]()
