oh my Lord, ladies... so zebi asked me to design her website, and i just got back from a 14 hour photo shoot for her portfolio. i'll show y'all as soon as its up and running, but WOW. art directing a photoshoot is so much fun even though it takes so long, but honestly, the results are amazing. she's really so, so, SO GOOD. the best part was that she asked her daughter and her daughter's friend's to be the models so there weren't any pro's on location looking unrealistically beautiful and flawless, and they all looked fantastic.

she even used my wedding jora for one of her shots! :D

she does but i feel that most of her pics are from professional model photo shoots and atleast two photos are the ones I have seen on other websites as well.

I just want to see her original work if someone has experienced it personally.

Yeah you're right most of the pic on her site that I've seen seems to be the model photoshoot, of course any photo-shoot pics will always looks good rather than any of the original work.

^ it depends on the MUA… i mean, really what is their worth if they can’t make their real-life clients look as good as their models? and if they’re just copying pics from other websites to show as their 'folio then thats just dishonourable, not to mention illegal, so i wouldn’t use them anyway because i wouldn’t be able to trust them.

oh btw, here are some examples of zebi’s work from the photoshoot we did a couple of weeks ago…

I agree with you SGC, its not worth getting it done from someone who is not sincere about the kind of work they can produce. Thanks for the pics, they are good

For this reason itself I would like to get feedback from someone out there who has had the experience and how did it go. Was it close to the work on her website or was it complete off track.

she's pakistani, she's been in the business about 15 years, she's got qualifications from Complexions (which is one of the best makeup/esthetician schools in toronto) as well as other toronto schools, and she's a makeup artist and aesthetician so she does facials, waxing, threading, etc plus makeup.
her website isn't up yet, but i posted some pics of her makeup in this thread earlier.
you can call her at 416 283 6495 and she's located at 401 and neilson in scarborough.
i loved what she did to me on my day, so yes, i'm a big fan :p

heyyy.. i’d definitely recommend Shirley Wu.. shes a bit pricey but its worth every single penny.. i was sooooo happy with the way she did my makeup on the baraat and valima.. i got soooo many compliments.. she has a website www.shirleybeautyconcept.com my pics from the wedding are posted on the thread “a Bride from Mars”.. so maybe u can have a look.. also.. make sure u let her knw exactly what u want done..

Hello Everyone,

So, I've found a few makeup artists and am planning on going in for a trial, but I was wondering if you guys could please give opinions on the following makeup artists and if you have pictures, I would really appreciate, I've already seen the pics on their websites but want kind of the "real-deal".
