Re: Pak V England - First test Match
By the way guys, until mid last year, I too was of the view that Mohd Yousuf wasn't playing the role of a senior batsman properly and didn't do enough for the team when the team suffered a mini collapse. Fortunately, over the past 10-12 months, he's been playing anchor more consistently!
We should be willing to give the credit when a player shows the improvement we want from him!
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Why's Henry Blofeld so loud once again. Is it a legbye? Boundary? Chance ?
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Farhat very shaky against Plunkett.
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
That's silly with only an over left after this one.
16.6 Panesar to Imran Farhat, 1 run, quick single to the covers, where Collingwood collects, shies at the non-striker's end and misses – would have been out had he found the timber.
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Allah please save us for the next few deliveries so that we can start afresh tomorrow morning! AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmeeeeeeeeen!!
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Can someone tell me whether this wicket has anything for bowlers? Is this a batting wicket or bowling?
I think England came with a resovle and mission, they are active in filed and will grab any chaces given to them. We were given many in our first inngs, infortunatly our fielders and umpires made it impossible for us. I still believe our bolwers did a heck of a job. We lost it with drop catches and stupid decisions by umpires.
I hope our batsmen will be able to draw this one....
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
What did I say. Plunkett bowled him
65/3
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
dhobi bhai, I am not crying like some ppl were yesterday. Instead I am saying, England deserve to win this match. They need win too. BTW, I did vote against Pakistan win in the poll few weeks back as I don't see this team hailing without main strikers.
Main difference from England's visit to Pakistan last December.
Our hostile bowling in that series, won't be seen this time along due to injuries.
Our batsmen have not proved a great deal outside the sub-continent. So its a 50/50 chance that they will repeat the performance they did in December.
England's batting is not that poor as some journalists think. They might have lost against SL recently, but they have enough bench strength.
The only thing that goes in Pak favour is that Flintoff and Jones are not playing.
So based on facts my pridiction is a series draw at the best, otherwise England winning this time along. And I accept it with open heart.
Again its Pakistan side which has done miracles before, so nothing is impossible.
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Farhat is gone :( DAMN!
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
I think he HAD to go. He tried getting runout, but didn’t turn happen. Had to go one way or the other!

Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Surprise surprise........
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
So Farhat contributes with a 33 after dropping more than 3 catches himself!
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
Sami's in. Farhat should have survived the last over before EOD :(
Sami to face the last 4 balls? Sami leavvvvvvvvesssssssssssssss :)
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
It took England just over an hour to dismiss our top 3 batsmen.
In contrast the top 3 for England kept us in the field for over a day.
Re: Pak V England - First test Match
3 balls to end our agony
