Yall ever watched “Honey we’re killing the kids!” on TLC? Its a pretty interesting show, a doctor assesses the children’s diets and exercise habits and fitness skills and based on what they come up wiht, they show the children at age 40 and show it to their parents. The parents area lwyas shocked and upset, because in the picture, they look unhappy, unhealthy, discolored skin, bad hair, fat, no joy in their face etc. So for three weeks, they go on an overhaul, changing diet, adding exercise, and other stuff (likemore family time, dad respects wife more, kids are more behaved and sociable etc)..
When I was in the first grade, i was the only fat kid 
But by the time I graduated from there (8th grade) there were a LOT of overweight children in the yunger grades.
Nowadays, there’s more tv and kids sittin in front of the computer, playing video games all day long, not ot mention advertisers advertising the grossest unhealthiest snacks; hell most cereals are just candy thats all.
Black and latino kids tend to be more overweight than white or asian kids for many reasons: real asian food is not as fattening as say desi or spanish food 
Also, for blacks and latinos, its part of their beauty ideal, to be slightly curvier. which is not so bad in itsself, but not when ur 10 year old weighs the same as a 16 or17 year old. Also, they tend to live in poorer neighborhoods, and unhealthy food just tends to be cheaper than fresh food.. plus parents are working constantly just to make ends meet, so its’ harder to prepare nutritious home-cooked meals.

People think we have no dil ,t hat all fat ppl care about is eating and doing nothing.. well its not true, we’re not ugly lazy slobs.. some of us do take interest in how we look, we wear nice clothes, makeup, get our hair done, but all anyone looks at is motapa..

Sara Haven’t watched the show but I wouldn’t be surprised because it’s true. Video games, computers, TVs, and less excercise and outdoor games are really damaging the health of our society.

Obesity comes wth money, always has done. Genetics does pay a part aswell e.g. people from soutah asia more likely to become obese on a 'rich' diet compared to vikings for example.
USA is a rich country ==> Most obese nation. Comapred to Europe UK is now the rich man and population going obese, simillar to USA in a few years.
If you have money you generally tend to have access to rich food i.e. fat, meat, sugar etc... all of which are bad, In comaprisson most developing countries have a far more stable diet of starch and fruits with the odd meat/poultry. We in the west also tend to excercise less. Their is no need for it. I blame the lack of local markets for this. Around 20 years agao apparantly everyone in the UK (working class) used to buy clothes, food, furniture EVRYTHING from local shops. Practically every day go on a shopping trip to cook dinner or something. Now it's big supermarkets. You need a car todo shopping ==> less walking.

As Pakistan, India get richer I expect to see an increase in obesity. Afterall you can now afford your own car and a meal in a restuarant every lunch time.
