Re: One piece of advice....

^ oh my LORD... i grew up in hassan square! woy. that brings back memories.

you know what, mmkaki, take the advice offered in this thread and keep your cool! trust me, everything always happens in its own time- don't stress about it too much and iA things will work out just the way you want (or even better than you imagined)!

Hassan Square! That's where my cousins lived! All this time I thought you were either very young when you came to Canada or were born there!

i called shah kazmi a few days back n he was ready to do the pics but havent seen his work yet he started calling at my place to inquire everyday that wat ive decided n i asked him that i will contact him my self …will ask my fiance to go over there n c his work coz um a lil reluctant to call that person at home

i live near hassan square my self :)
well thnxx alot SGC for ur adivices ....well um a tension taker since my childhood so its so difficult to over come it ...one day im relaxed and the other day um like pulling my hairs that wat is gona happen

i'm not in ur contacts, so thts y unable to see ur blog...

Re: One piece of advice....

^mmkaki, then why dont u visit my fiance's area bohat se tailors hain n im sure they r good coz all my SIL n my MIL get their dresses stiched from there..

u can call shah kazmi to come over ur place n show u his work.

wow, good to know.. lots of people here from hassan square :)

Buying a readymade outfit and getting it "fitted" isn't a huge problem.. getting one made from scratch wud be a task bearing in mind Karachi's loadshedding!

nah, i was born there, then we moved out of the country, then we came back and lived in karachi for 6 years, from when i was 7 to 13, then we moved out of the country again :)

Wow! were you in Canada both times?

Did you know two sisters Nausheen and Huma living in Hassan Square?

hi everyone
whoever is doing some research please make a back up plan of ur ideas
i just lost all my stuff :teary2:

Re: One piece of advice....

^ oh no!!! :/ if its digital research, can it be recovered? most stores that sell computers and the likes usually have people/software that can retrieve data.

oh also, i kept a little notebook with me at all times in my purse and noted down all the vendors i spoke to, the prices and details they quoted me on, and their web/land/email addresses as well. its really valuable for when you want to comparison shop between vendors, and also to remember everything!

Re: One piece of advice....

thats so sad.. well i have written everything on two diaries.. plus on my lappy.. i have a small diary which i keep in my purse all the time.. its easier to manage.

no, i don't think so, or at least i don't remember them... we were in the middle east in the times in between pakistan and canada. we were in this huge compound of apartment buildings that ranged from P to Z, and we were in Q. maybe we can sort this out via PM's though :)

Yeah sure! We are getting off track regarding the thread lol!! I do remember the arrangement of the buildings!!

(million yrs old traditionalist alert! )

i don't understand when brides have to change into simple clothes...

this is your wedding night..this is why you bought a lakh ruppees jora... not for the photographers, not for the extended family and people you hardly know....

this is your 'suhag ka jora' // so just keep it on ... u can maybe change the dupatta from head to the side..

Enjoy your million dollar look... and let the poor groom enjoy it too and appriciate it ..

Re: One piece of advice…

^look whos back!!! :hugz:

Re: One piece of advice....

I agree with all the ladies here especially the one's (such as myself) that recently got married. PF, Silsila and SGC really know what their talking about since everything was absolutely stunning on their wedding day.

I would suggest not to sweat the small stuff ie: decorations, food menu, bridesmaid dresses, stage decor, party favors, etc etc.

Focus on yourself and pay attention to the little things that make a bride a bride: your hairdo, nailpolish, your purse/bag, jewelry, clothes, makeup, etc etc.

Make sure you eat and laugh and have a good time. Let the small things go and make it the most special day of you life ever because this is one memory that will never leave you.

P.S. Make sure you have no lipstick on you teeth lol
