Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
That sounds really spooky...I've suffered from sleep paralysis over the past few years. Typical sensations such as being unable to move/speak, feeling a crushing pressure on my chest, hallucinations etc. Thankfully my hallucinations haven't been that scary or anything. I'm used to it now so whenever it happens I know exactly what's going on and how to deal with it.
The strangest sleep paralysis incident I had was when I decided to take a nap mid afternoon, I was lying on my side with my back towards my bedroom door. A little while later I heard my bedroom door open and for some reason I thought it was my sister coming in even though I couldn't see who it was. I was going to shout at her for disturbing me and that's when I realised I couldn't move or speak. I knew what was happening, but this was the first time I felt a "presence" during one of my sleep paralysis incidents.
At this point I still thought it was my sister so I tried calling out to her to shake me awake, but she just walked into my room towards my dresser. She then turned my dresser chair to face me, took a seat and just sat there watching me. Now, I didn't see her do this as my back was to her, I just knew/sensed that's what she had done. Finally, I came round and I could move again, I quickly sat up in bed but no one was there. I got up to question my sister and found that she had been downstairs the whole time and hadn't come to my room at all. The thing I can't really explain was why my chair was turned to face my bed if I had hallucinated everything. It was slightly strange...
Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
^slightly strange indeed......
you could have written it off as a dream sequence if the chair hadn't been turned.
Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
Syra, that creepy.
It's been three days since the incident and I still can't speak. It hurts when I try to talk and feels like someone has broken my vocal cords. I'm starting to worry...may be I shoud go and see a doc?

Yeah, I just put it down to the chair being in that position in the first place even though it's always tucked under my dresser. Oh well...It shall remain a mystery :D
Re: night terror or paranormal activity?
Well the human mind can really play some strange tricks one you sometimes. I do believe in things which the Koran has mentioned but Allhamdulliah have not suffered anything yet.
I do know however that people can manipulate the mind in the most strange ways, "Manchurian candidate" Anyone?

Oh dear I’m showing my age now… well its a late fifties fictional American story later adapted into a film, twice.
Its basically a story of how minds can be manipulated to do things and believe things against thier will… this was a book from more than 50 years ago… imagine what modernity could do to our minds.
If as in the premise of that story a simple deck of cards can control a mans mind and manipulate it, with todays wizadry who knows what parts of the human mind can be tapped by accident sometimes what we think is real can be just murky goings on at the back of our minds,… sometimes it can just be the tip of the iceberg in reality.
Jins and the like are mentioned in the Koran but theres no saying what kind of wierd things humans can come up with if wicked people put thier minds to them.
Anyway thats that. ![]()
