My life's gone a bit topsy turvy since last 3 days. I know it was nothing more than a mind trick or night terror as I've been pretty stressed for the past few weeks due to my youngest son's illness, husband's job and the broken car...and of course the on going renovation in the house. But this incident has made things even more difficult for me...I can't go upstairs alone now and my heart starts beating at any sound and motion. On top I can't even talk properly due to my sore throat which the screaming caused.

Such scary incidents in this thread; I've never experienced anything of the sort, Alhamdulillah. However occasionally, when I am half asleep, my body just suddenly 'jumps' as if I have had an electric shock.

I think I have damaged my vocal cords permanently. I tried singing today (like proper singing that requires a lot of power) and my throat starting hurting again. sadface
