Not because they are Shia, but because the killed family men front of their children by shooting them in the head. Not because they were Shia, but because the raped and manipulated women body parts i.e. cutting their breast etc…. Not because Shia, but because they took thousands of men their Muslim brothers and shoved them in wells and then used pipe bombs to blow them up.

If the people of Afghan really hated Shias then they would have gone in war with Iran or would have killed these Hazaris long time ago. They were consider brothers, but turned out to be Iranian puppets, burning majority of 90% Pashto history to dust.

Now you tell me, what is the truth you know?
What you know is what you heard from a Shia friend or on the news. If not then let us know, uncle!

lets drop the subject of shia/sunni... since that is what most always fight about..

another point i wanted to make is that during WW2... the US was reporting of countless deaths etc etc.. but most did not say that they were JEWISH! hmm... go figure. it is only afterwards WW2 that the west feels so obliged towards the Jewish pple b/c they didnt speak up or do anything during the "extermination" of the Jewish people by the Nazi.

similar to the notion that

"this is ___ ___ reporting from cnn station in atlanta, ga. a muslim terrorist has..."

vs

"this is ___ __ reporting from oklahoma city. a young man by the name of Timothy McVeigh is in hands of authorities today.."

hmm.. why isnt he labeled the "christian terrorist" ?

-mehndi

also

"an israeli militant is dead today"

vs

"a few palestanians were caught during a crossfire.."

Why does ur answer seem biased?
So they aer extremists but not perfect. SO?
I would rather look at them thru my own eyes than thru the view set up by the western world...Ok im not sure where im going, but will come back to expand.

I know it for sure that Mullah Muhammad Umar, the supreme leader for Taliban, does not allow ANYONE to take his pictures. The only high-level Talibaan offical whose pic is available is their foreign minister.

  1. Sheraz and Ammar... please rein in your emotions next time you are posting here. Such sort of language and insults are not acceptable. But you guys already know this, right? I would have expected both of you to edit your comments yourself, instead of someone pointing it out.

Sheraaz have you considered what has the afghani shea's done to sunni's...Investigate that before talking rubbish about talibans...at the end of the day it is not a religious thing...its more cultural.

And what the hell are you doing here? Instead of trying to prove your Muslim brother right.. you people are looking for proof to make them look the bad guys? huh? I ask you who the hypocrite is now? Naam musalman aur kaam musalmanoun kay khilaf?

Did you even care about looking thro some Afghani newspapers? bothered mailing/emailing their administration(or whatever) ? I'm pretty sure NOT!. And until and unless I get their side of the story too, I will not go to these limits to prove them wrong!**

This picture is not the only one that he has 'posed' for. There are countless others. And yes, it was taken in Pakistan, but what does that prove. A persons own faith goes with him wherever he goes.

Ammar...
none of the info that i based my conclusions on came from the western media. The scenario is plain and clear. The taleban have been around for more than a few days. Where were they all this time when they could have demolised the statues 4 years ago? Why did it take them so long? Did they wake up one morning and all of a sudden remember the orders regarding statues? Or were their actions entirely politically motivated?

Lets look at things in their true setting. You asked whether I or anyone has voiced our opinions in Afghani press. Well heres news for you. The BBC correspondent was expelled yesterday for publishing news regarding the statue demolition. Theres taleban style Islam for you.

This is not the Islam i was brought up to follow. And for instances like this one, there isnt much else behind the scenes that we need to know before we can figure out the situation. Uniformity in faith is more important than being high up in one category and down in another.

Prophet SAW said."It wouldnt matter as much if someone were to demolish the Ka'aba as it would if someone were to break a fellow beings' heart".

Dont turn Islam into a joke, and dont politicize it.

probably not. but then i am not from
the taliban.
they actually proclaim that they are
following the true path of islam,
so if they do have different rules for
different people then thats too bad, against
the very nature of islam; and they are
once again proving that they are...
well we all know

Are you fellowing the true...tell me some muslims in this world that are fellowing the true path.

What the talibans has done for its people has never been done in afghani history...I suggest you should shut your crap jealous comments before someone else opens their mouth, I mean what the f*** has they done to you.

EA,

Look, firstly, you didn’t answer the core message of my whole post… Do you trust your Muslim brothers or not..?

Now, let me put it to you this way…

These guys here, whatever they are doing(maybe some of it is a little extreme).. , are trying to restore Islam and Shari’ah in their country… maybe they’ve made mistakes here and there.. They are not perfect.. and they need our support… whatever they are doing.. their motives are just..

Now you’re left with two choices.. either you start speaking about what perfect Islam is… and condemn each and every of theirs… and how it goes against perfect Islam… OR… you support them.. create a positive feeling about them.. and be proud that there are muslims out there who are striving to restore Islam from the pathetic state it has gotten into..

Now, since you are one of those people who condemn Islam… let me ask you this, are you following Islam correctly and fully..? I’m sure they are following Islam more than you are… Have u done something for your own country and religion..? Taken action against the govt, against the world, so that Islam stays alive… or have you always been on the sidelines condemning everything and doing nothing..?

Remember, none of us are perfect,.. neither are the Taleban.. but they are making more of an effort than we are… and they need all support they can get.. think about it.

and i suggest you visit www.taleban.com .. it should clear some things up for you..

And what the hell does most of us know about Islam anyway...what we do in our daily life is known only to allah "allah knows". Rather than saying talibans that talibans that say something about the real enemy..or are they scaring the s**t out of yous.

Like ammars said, leave a country to jahiliat for 16 years and let it restore…its does’nt happens over night, major steps needs to be taken…By the way who are the talibans??? They are basically younger than us on age…They don’t have the experience. We all know that things are not perfect the first time you are working at them..especially when there are others who are interfering.

these talibans pray 5 times a day..do we?? they are quran hafiz, atleast most of them…Are we??? they know the hadith better than us. So what makes them less muslims than us???

Terribaly sorry if I have offended you, I know I get out of line very easily..but don't judge my knowlegde on islam, you don't know that...put it this way...assumption is your game.

Thank you for telling me what kinna personality I have, appreciate it.

If i am to trust muslims blindly, then no, I dont do that. Allah SWT says it clearly enough in the Quran, that we are to verify each and every piece of information that is passed to us, and not follow or believe in it blindly.

whatever they are doing.. their motives are just..

Thats where we disagee. If their motives were fair, they would be uniform in their approach. However, they have chosen scenarios merely to spite the world, muslim or non-muslim. If Islam were the only priority, these things would have been done 4 years ago. To do them periodically is akin to Bill Clinton bombing Iraq whenever a monica lewinskly scandal comes up....merely to divert attention, or to spite the opposition.

and be proud that there are muslims out there who are striving to restore Islam from the pathetic state it has gotten into..

why would u think that Islam is in a pathetic state? are talibans the only good muslims left in this world? is it that if a person is not following talebans style of islam that he is not a good muslim? There are over a billion muslims in this world, and im sure there are a few of them who are better tahan the taleba, and are working hard in other positive ways to help the cause of Islam .

Now, since you are one of those people who condemn Islam... let me ask you this, are you following Islam correctly and fully..?

I dont know where you draw the conclusion about me condemning Islam, but I never claimed to be a perfect muslimin anyway. But the taleban sure do claim that. Dont try to mislead by saying that I condemn Islam. I do not even condemn taleban. I simply dont agree with this act of theirs. It was foolish and selfish and political....not islamic.

** I'm sure they are following Islam more than you are... Have u done something for your own country and religion..? **

You bet I have..but I dont need to itemize it.

As for taleban, im not anti-taleban...im against the certain steps they take in the name of islam, when their motives are clearly political...akin to the shia sunni shootings that take place in pakistan all the time. They too are not religious...they are political issues. A name doesnt mean anything. You could call yourself sipahe sahaba, or taleban, or fiqah jaafria....if ur actions dont comply with the core of Islam, you are engaged in politics. Thats fine, as long as you present it as politics. Dont display politics and try to pass it off as Islam.

<…nice smile huh?>>>
I totally agree with you EA, mulana saheb ki smile bari achi hey

Please no mumbo jumbo; give me an accurate answer. Exactly my point, what did it prove by you posting it here? It was taken in Pakistan, that’s all one needs to know.

My friend, when caught twisting things it could be really embarrassing. i.e. nice smile? The guy is hardly smiling.

Yes, please do not turn Islam into a joke.

Politicize? I’m not the one posting pictures trying creating scandals here. One should judge him/her self before judging others.
