What are the new reasons for ousting President Musharaf? It can no longer be the restoration of democracy from PPP perspective, as in the last few days we have seen PPP democracy in action.
It can’t be to improve the economy. Pakistan has seen unprecdented Economic growth during the past eight years.
It can’t be law and order situation, as the law and order stituaton, apart from suicide bombing and odd display of emotions including what we have seen in the past few days, has been better than before 1999.
It can’t because Pakistan keeps changing govt. every couple of years, as we have seen for the first time in history of Pakistan, an elected govt. completing its full term.
So, what are the reasons for ousting President Musharaf?
He should be ousted because he ousted the true judiciary, and imposed himself as president when he could not do so by Pakistan's law.
He should be ousted because he is supporting killers of PPP chairperson in his government.
He should be ousted because he has proved himself to be an incompetent ruler who failed in his policies towards controlling Taleban by making deals with them. It is because of his incompetency that Taleban are getting stronger every day.
Those are just few reasons which came in my mind. And they were all "SHOULDs". He WILL be ousted after elections irrespective of the reasons you and I give.

Wholesale illegal change in the constitution
His incompetent leadership of the army led to low morale and setbacks in fight against terrorism
Getting the rubber stamp parliament to approve his illegal rule
Sucking upto criminals, corrupt people including BB and NS with a view to prolong his highly unpopular rule.
Degrading women by telling them that they get raped in order to get foreign visa. How pathetic but typical of this man.

The only good thing during his rule was economic progress for which we can thank Shaukat Aziz not him, his contribution was zilch. True to his incompetent handling he also got rid of him.

Not bad governance? It is due to the various accords he has made with Taleban which have strengthened Taleban. It was sheer incompetence.
He also failed to provide adequate security to BB, even after the first attack on her. Result is that BB is dead and Pak in chaos.

You obviously have no idea about the situation in NWFP and other Pashtun areas of Pakistan. Any attack on Taliban without trying to broker peace with them would have increased anti-Pakistan/Punjab sentiments among Pashtuns ten-fold. The notion that President Musharraf is a brutal dictator holds no weight, as in history there has never been a dictator who allows freedom of press, freedom to criticize, and freedom to express one’s views. It is like saying an obese man despises buffets, and chocolate bars.
Fact, that the poverty in Pakistan declined by at least 8% in the past 7 years. This disproves the notion that the rich are getting richer and the poor getting poorer.
Fact, that Pakistan’s stock exchange has been pronounced as the world’s best performing stock exchange twice in the past 7 years.
Fact, that despite Pakistan’s security problems, it’s economic growth rate has been an average of 6.5% during the past 7 years.
Fact, that the world bank, and IMF, have accredited the Musharraf administration for performing an economic miracle in Pakistan.
Fact, that Pakistan has been widely accepted in the world community as an important strategic partner (i.e induction in the Common Wealth, induction as a strategic partner of NATO).
Fact, that Pakistan is strategically placed in an indispensable position in the world. It would not be a false statement to claim, that the success or failure of Pakistan will determine whether the world will win or loose the war on terrorism. Hence, a successful and prosperous Pakistan is now in the interest of the world community.
Fact, that Pakistan’s relationship with the world community has never been better since its inception as nation in 1947.
Pakistan’s corruption ranking was 87/99 in 1999…when Mr.Musharraff assumed power. In 2002 it improved to 77/102. The rankings for the year of 2006, and 2007 were 138/179 . Which means corruption in Pakistan neither increased or decreased for the past 2 years.
When Benazir Bhutto was in power, Pakistan was the second most corrupt in the world.

That Nawaz Sharif lied to his own supporters about making a deal to stay outside the country for 10 years. He lied to his own supporters for years, until 2 days before coming to Pakistan, he said there was a deal for five years.
That the poverty rate increased in the 90's while the rest of the world progressed.
That the Supreme Court was PHYSICALLY attacked by the government of Nawaz Sharif.
That Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto, later admitted that they made false claims about each other during the 90's. Basically meaning they lied and misled the people of Pakistan.
That Nawaz Sharif appointed himself as "Supreme Islamic Leader" for life.
That under Benazir Bhutto's government, Pakistan was the 2nd most corrupt state in the world.

That he sucks up to America? Would Nawaz not support the war on terror? We all know how he ran to Clinton. Atleast Condalezza Rice phones Musharraff. If Nawaz was in power, she wouldn't need to, Nawaz would simply run to her.
