According to the Indian Economic Survey of 2004, compared to the Economic Survey of Pakistan - 2004, Pakistan’s GDP/Capita is higher than India.
Perhaps you should enlighten us on where you are getting your figures from?

Pakistan’s GDP, as of today stands at $110 billion. India has yet to reach the $1 trillion mark, thus it is impossible for it to be 10 times bigger than Pakistan’s. So, again, I must ask you, where are you getting these figures from?

4.9% of GDP, and going down. That is much less than many of the African & Arab countries, who have better & worse economies than Pakistan.

I won’t even bother replying to that one :rotfl:

The earthquake hit the parts of the country which were not very industrialized, if any at all. The areas hit were the mostly underdeveloped, and have little effect on the economy. No vital industrial or economical installations have been effected. Had it’ve been in Lahore, or Karachi, things would’ve been different.
All of Pakistan’s economic Hubs and areas are perfectly fine. Our industrial structure remains intact.
There will be building activity in the region and if gov enforces the laws for construction then the buildings will become more expensive. So economic activity after destruction always increases.
Also, reconstruction & rebuilding will creat more jobs in the area.
Not to mention the loads of Foreign Aid coming in, which will help alot too.

The GoP has already mentioned that Pakistan’s Economy can absorb EarthQuake Damage easily, and it will not be the cause of a decrease in GDP growth rate at any time.
Similar things have been said by other foreign & international organizations, IMF being one.

Same goes for India.
