Though I am an Indian, many of these things affect all the countries in the subcontinent. Sorry for getting into your problems (ofcourse our problem also).

I have not forgotten about this.
I think as we have a list of topics ready we can vote and pick a couple short term and couple of longer term. forma team around each, the team can then figure out goals and approach. and then move forward.
We are looking into how to provide a collaborative work site where drafts, background material, researc, resources, contact info etc can be shared.

if Yes, plz give us some time limit as I usually don't work unless I'm under a deadline or pressure - (am lazy).

lets give it until end of this week for people to add any other ideas and a little more meat on their ideas, what exctly do ppl think they want to do, and how.
then we can vote on them, and depending on how many ppl vote on which option, we set up sub teams.

I will make it a sticky for a week, to get anyone else's views in and then we can move on to the next step.
picking a couple of initial topics, make teams, and then it will be up to the team to plan out what they want to to, who they want to coordinate with e.g. other organizations.
I am way behind on my promise to provide a collborative work site. I have to talk to Wada Saeein to help and he has ben busy with personal stuff.

I got one more idea which seems to be simple but its very important i.e. teaching people the importance of cleanliness.
People living in poor areas or villages usually don't care for trash here & there or dirty water. They have no idea who bad the flies and mosquitos are.
Getting rid of trash and dirty water etc. doesn't require any money. They just need to learn to clean it as much as possible.

nice plan , i liked most of the topics that has come up so far............... but i suggest , make certain catagories , like hmmmmmm
-education" ( women /mother's education be given prime importance ) than
- political issues ,
- economical issues
- law & order
- domestics etc than add matters of concern related to categories.
( but please avoid stuff like sharing pics & wedding planner like the one's at GS )

a while back president musharaf stated how foreign currency had really helped the economy. i think a guide to saving and investing in pakistan would be a good thing and its net publishable (aimed at 2nd/3rd generation)

Following are a few of the things that bother me given that I have spent years back home in Karachi, going to government offices and institutes with my father where you need to "dhakkaY khaa" even for small little legitimate things as a citizen.
- The 'Red tape' mentality of our nation
- Nokar Shahi Vs Afsar Shahi
- Why do people among us, when reached the higher status, do not give a damn about people whom they belong to.
