just an inventory of areas a group could get involved in. just a laundry list here…if there are established groups working on such subjects we can always offer ourselves as a cyberforce of volunteers to work with them.
I will write some topics that are close to my heart
1-regulation of domestic workers (servants)
2-need/logic of vocational curriculum at madrassas
is everyone going to be ready to have more specifics shortly? because we would need to get to specific topics and specific questions we would want to address.
so dont take it as a harsh critique, please keep ideas coming, but please be ready to describe it in very specific terms in a few days.
imprving socio-econmic conditions not just for the middle-class, but the lower and workign classes too. Try to even out the huge socio-econmic gap between the rich and poor.
Even though my vote is still for Balochistan issue but there is another idea that I have been thinking for quite some time now. Its about provding long term help to families rather than just giving them Atta Ka Thaila or other groceries.
How about coming up with a plan where a small amount can be given as an interest free loan. Families can work on handicrafts such as candle making & other stuff. It doesn't require that much money but can really help a family.
Banks don't do that stuff - they require tons of documents etc.
Once this plan works, there won't be that much need to put on more and more money. simply get the money back from one family and give it to another.
This whole thing can be started from one small town or village etc.
It may sound weird, time consuming or very difficult in the beginning but if planned properly, it can really work.
I'm not sure but I think maximum of Rs.10,000 or in some cases maybe up to Rs.20,000 would be enough for a family. e.g. candle making doesn't even require that much. I know there is a machine that can be used for socks making and I think, its not more than Rs.20,000
The only thing is that one may need to provide them training as well.
Encourage people to work and not feel ashamed doing something your servant would do (jhaaroo pocha). This could free up a lot of manpower for more contructive purposes.
I would like to reiterate one that ehsan bhai stated, providing clean water to the masses everywhere in Pak, as believe it or not, this is more serious that any other disease and claims the most live!

**3) Need to remove the western style Uniforms That immitate European Imperialism from Pakistan's Armed Forces. and replace with Local styles that would go a long way towards reducing the Armed Forces Arrogance and haughtiness..:) **
**Don't you recall the Uniform that kicked the Russian Ass out of Afghanistan was merely Kurta Shalwar and Pagrri with Chappels for shoes, Uniforms do not fight wars they are just suitable for Parades...:D **
Pakistan is not perfect but it is NOT getting the fair shake in the world media. Pakistani people are generally good and kind hearted. Pakistan is portrayed as a nest of fundamentalism and jihadism which is NOT true.
If there is one thing we should be looking at, it is improving Pakistans image.
