N, it's a really smart idea to get flowers from the dollar store and use petals! I have never really heard of that before.
it's actually really easy. What I did was purchase those long vines with flowers as well as a bunch of plastic roses, all in one bouquet. then I just chopped off roses and twisted the vines around the plate and stuck it on with super glue. It did take a really long time, like all day, but it was well worth it. They actually looked quite nice, in my humble opinion. The vines were easy to twist cause they have like a wire inside so it's easy to bend and mold.
yeah or just rip off the flowers from the vines and stick them into the mehendi tray... they actually do look so fab when all done. i bought mostly daisies... big open flowers so they show more.
Yeah I did that too, cut the flowers off and stick them on. I used roses cause those were the only flowers the local store had that were actually big and nice looking.
can all you fellow visitors post your wedding's thalis or mehndi stuff if you ahve, i need a picture for my public speaking class, am doing an informative speech on pakistani weddings thanx:)
i think the new concepts of thalis are making iron stands and on wood planks... at my outlet, i have provided these thals to some clients which were on huge wooden planks covered with fresh flowers and having diyas and mehendi in the center....
here’s what i made for my cousins wedding a few months ago, we made a bunch of little thaals for the younger girls and 2 big ones for the grooms sister and bhabi
