these are from my mehendi… i went to the dollar store and picked out those pretty fabric flowers and then we just tore them off the stems or tore off the petals and used them for decor.
in toronto, some do, some don't. the banquet hall i used offered free centrepieces and stage decor, but their stage was too plain, so we accepted the centrepieces and had the stage done ourselves. i can also email you the name/number of the lady who did my set up here in toronto... she was really good and well priced.

You are succha GEM!!! And very resourceful, I must say. We are planning
our ceremony in Lahore and not Toronto. and BTW tons of thanks for sending me the
info of Rehana....Unfortunately I can not send PT messages as of yet so
I guess this will do....Once again thanks!
hehe, I did that too for some of the plates we made for my dholki.
Most of the stuff we used were made by my Afghani friend. In their culture, they use crystal bowls/cups/plates … and decorate it with white lace and ribbons. So she got all of that from Michael’s. They actually use those for the wedding rasms, but since my wedding was overseas, she made them for me for the dholki. I’m supposed to keep these forever and use them too. The rest of the tin trays I got from the dollar store and decorated with plastic flowers … I will upload a few pics.
