Sara, ive used olive oil and then started to use almond oil....and i use L'oreal's shampoo and conditioner.... it takes me forever to wash the oil out....but still i think i can smell the oil...maybe its just me who has an over sensitive nose.. hehe:)
Hmm i'm not sure what formula you use, but make sure it says "Deep cleansing" on it, any decent name-brand will do, and it's clear in color and has a gel texture..."clear" shampoos are better for oily hair..
Oooh...ok:) thx for the advice;) i'll try that out soon and then ill write down my experience with this kind of shampoo...just need to find it first:P well its 2 am here and im still not sleepy... whats the time over there Sara?
I got it this past weekend and used it today. I’m very impressed with the results. I have wavy long hair that hasn’t ever been colored, and I felt that Chi was leaving it brittle and dry, albeit striaght, and it took me a good 25 minutes to straighten with Chi. With the Sedu, I love the soft silky finish and hair doesn’t feel dry to the touch, also Sedu cut the time to 12 minutes. Sedu also has temp control, which my basic Chi didn’t have (more expensive models do). So all in all, with the same price, Sedu does a much better job than Chi. I got it from ULTA and used the 20% coupon and it cost me around $100 USD.
Sehar,
Did you get it on their website or at the store? I searched for it all over the website but couldn’t find it so ended up buying at Folica.com…
I used it this past weekend when I went to Miami but I guess it didn’t work so well for me because there was such high humidity there. Now that I am back in the cold weather, it seems to work better
My dermatologist always told me that I should use a clarifying shampoo atleast ONCE a week. I have used Neutrogena's anti-residue and now I use Frederic Fekkai and both have worked really well. You should try either one. It makes your hair really clean and manageable.

I was looking for a hair serum with thermal protection at Sephora the other day and this girl who works there came upto me and said, don't buy one here, the best one you can get is online- it's called Chi Silk Infusion. She told me that it is by far the best protective serum as it doesn't let your hair get damaged. I got it online last week and even though it felt a lil greasy (probably because I used more than I should have), my hair didn't dry out or anything. Just thought I would share with those who are looking for a GOOD protective serum/spray.

shay - I got it from their store. Folica seems to have fairly decent prices as well.
I have shared my interest in sedu with my hubby. Now he’s asking me if this is going to be my last straightener…err..I have already bought 2 straighteners in last 7 months so I don’t know
CA, if you dont like the straighteners you have already bought, cant you return them? I love the one i have and have no desire to try another one. I am planning to take it to Pakistan, i hope it can work with the adapters there.
