The Prophet (Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said,
“The most dependable handhold on faith is: love for the sake of Allah and hatred for the sake of Allah.”
Sahih Bukhari. Volume 7, Book 64, Number 273.

Still it doesn’t say we should hate non-muslims.
