5Abi,
Why are you countin' from 78? From 79-99 makes, 20 years. Add, 2000,01,02, gives you 23 years.
Kobe will be 24 this comin' Fall of 03.

**Larry Hughes added 13 points yesterday against the Knicks. **
Wizards lost the game from NY Knicks(96-97). I saw it. Only MJ was pushing himself throughout the game. Lary Hughes played good BB. I don’t think Wizards could even come close to playoffs.
Vince Carter is back. This guy could would be the best player in the NBA right now if he wasn't getting hurt all the time. Inshallah this time he is here to stay.

**Kobe Bryant was 13-of-26 from the field. **
I didn’t watch Lakers vs Bulls game from the start, that might be the reason of Lakers lost(hehe). Anyway, it was a poor performance from Lakers, accordin’ to my friends and by lookin’ at the final score. Bulls won by 17 points, (116-99) as Lakers Stumble. Kobe Bryant went off for a game-high 36 points but the Lakers couldn’t get past the Bulls. Rick Fox finished with 23 points and Shaquille O’Neal added 13 points.
[thumb=B]curry_200_030311.JPG[/thumb]
Eddy Curry was 8-of-13 from the field.
Wonderful performance from Bulls. Rose, Eddy and Crawford were simply great. **Youngster defeated the World Champs! ** Jalen Rose tallied a team-high 27 points, Jamal Crawford finished with 24 points, Eddy Curry added 20 points and Jay Williams came off the bench to score 11 for Chicago. I thought that was :k: :k: :k: , which Lakers bench players lacks to deliever! ![]()
Los Angeles Lakers will meet Detroit Pistons on Wednesday March 12, 2003.
Lakers Position: 35-26, Third, Pacific. 6th Western Conference.
Someone here earlier mentioned that vince carter is only good for dunks and stuff like that. i suggest him to take a look at vince's three points figures for the last 5 games.
[thumb=B]marbury_suns_200_030313.JPG[/thumb]
Stephon Marbury.
Superb performance by the Suns. They have beaten Kings, their worst defeat of the season so far. Shawn Marion and Stephon Marbury stepped up in a big way as Suns crushed Kings 109-84 at home. Marion went off for 27 points with 11 rebounds, Marbury added 26 points and Jake Voskuhl played well off the bench, scoring 13 for Phoenix. :k:
There was nothing special from Kings. They just couldn’t deliver of their best. Poor shooting and lots of turnovers gave Suns path to Victory. Chris Webber scored a team-high 22, added 11 rebounds. Mike Bibby chipped in with 20 points and Keon Clark finished with 13.
Homies, the clash of the arch rivals is on next Thursday. You know, what am talkin’ about. Lakers vs Kings @ Arco Arena.
Michael Jordan played his last game in LA, scoring 23 points, as Lakers beat the Wizards 108 - 94. MJ gained fame in 1984 Olympics in LA and won is first NBA title in LA.
He was given a standing ovation throughout the game by the fans.
Kobe, on the other hand stole spotlight from Jordan with 55 points, a Laker-record 42 coming in first 24 minutes.
Another Kobe-Michael Moment:

Yeah, that was a great treat to see Kobe and Jordan goin’ head-to-head against each other. Personally, I liked the moment when Jordan was on floor and Kobe was messin’ with him. ![]()
Great game by Kobe. 42 points in the first half.
Five 3 points shots were
Shaq and rest of the team played average. 5Abi, by lookin’ at the Western Conference standin’, I doubt Lakers will make into the playoffs as Lakers Bench don’t come up with baskets. Lakers are on 7th position.
I reckon this time NBA Championship belongs to SA Spurs. Tony Parker and Tim Duccan have been truly amazin’. Did you see the match b/w Spurs and Dallas? That was one of the highlights in the NBA games history. At one point, Spurs were losin’ but then came back into the game with a BANG; took control; and defeated Dallas in the OT.
Oh yeah, yesterday Portland Blazzers crushed Dallas. Surprise
yeah right ![]()

that is not a suprise at all. Dallas has choked against every good team. even though they are at the top, i do not think that that is going to be the position at the end of the season.
they win the games that they should win but can't win the ones they must win.
i live in dallas and an obviuos dallas fan, but it is disgusting when they do that.
my personal belief is that KINGS are going to be the winners this year. that is possibly the only team that could dethrone the LAKERS...
do not rule out SPURS too.
does anybody play fantasy Basketball online. It is too late now, but you guys can join us Pakistani group @ Virtual GM

No dude, so far, I don't reckon KINGS will be the winners. They always choked in an important match. Remember what happened with KINGS in the 7th game of the playoffs against LAKERS @ Arco Arena last year? They choked full time in front of home crowd.
SPURS are the ones, I guess gonna take NBA Championship. Tony Parker and Tim Duccan aren't in the leadin' point figures in the NBA rightnow, but what matters most is SA SPURS are on the top in the Western Conference.
Btw, today Dallas defeated Timberwolves with huge margin(119-95). Congrats. :)
LAKERS are at 7th spot and I don't think they gonna make it to the playoffs. But you never know this LAKERS team, there's always a Ray of Hope in them.
Re: Nba
Lakers are not going to playoffs ?? Dude they are 7th right now and as far as I know 8 teams from each conf go to the playoffs, Lakers may not have the home court advantage, but they sure are going to the playoffs. And with Shaq, Kobe and the sp underrated Horry, who needs a home court advantage, They Kicked the Kings (err QUEENS
) last year in Arco Arena.
Lakers all the way !
and all ya ppl thinking sacremento wud be a threat
hit the road..
they got all good player but only one big time player.
most of theri players choke in curcial moment
where as lakers they blossom under pressure
Well, they way LAKERS(Kobe and Shaq only, No bench help) are playin’, I fear they could make it the playoffs. Even though, they are at 7th spot, I wouldn’t be surprise if LAKERS slipped. They lost to Seattle Sonic last night with huge 21 points margin.
Robert Horry ain’t that much energetic as Madsen is. I prefer Kareem Rush over Horry.
PT puttar, Let the Playoffs come and we will see. For now Lakers are going to Play offs.

Yeah, LAKERS have always performed better in the playoffs. History is witness! But I'm not takin' that into consideration. This NBA season, LAKERS started off slow. First, Shaq had toe injury. Then, Fox banned for sometime 'cause of his fight with Doug. Kobe carried all the weight throughout the season. It's only 'cause of Kobe and Shaq LAKERS rank at 7th in the Western Conference. I wonder when will bench players from LAKERS make baskets (15+) for the team. How long LAKERS gonna depend on Kobe and Shaq? I know, both are the main key players from LAKERS but fans expect rest of the players to play hard just as Kobe and Shaq. This is where LAKERS stands below KINGS, SPURS & MARVERICKS.
Kareem Rush is a rookie from Missouri University. I got great expectations from him. He moves fast on the court. Mark Madsen is good too. And Phil Jackson have given him opporunity in the five starts-up. Horry will always be remember for his lucky shot. That game is the season highlight of LAKERS, as Derek Fisher said so. :) Other than that, Horry is not even an average player.
This time, LAKERS would have to face strong opponents --> SPURS, MARVERICKS/KINGS(believe, they can beat LA). From Eastern Conference, I think, SIXERS and PACERS/NETS would be the last two qualified teams.
Btw, playoffs starts from April 19, 03 and LAKERS are playing with GRIZZLIES tonight(03/31/03), and will try to get back on track.
