Is it just me or it looks weird, how does anyone vote for Washington.
Will Jordan play this year ?
The guy needs to retire if there was any sharam left in him. I want him to be remembered as the greatest basketball player of all time, after coming back last year he ruined the rep.

I think this year Sacremento and Dallas will be back with vengence.
San Antonio Spurs have big names in their team but since their Championship win in 99, they have yet to play in big matches.

I think from the East it will be either Miami or Philedelphia and from the west it will be Lakers/Kings/Mavericks.

Can't wait.

LAKERS gonna kick ass! :D

Yet again!

i dont know who's gonna win... No Predictions... but I like the Kings

Right now... I just wanna see good games...

Did anybody see the Lakers vs Kings game the other night ?
Rick Foxx and some other guy from Kingz got in a fist fight, and later went on to become Lakers vs Kingz feud with Shaq pushing Vlade Divac. I watched it in the news.
Can someone elaborate on that!
It looks like both teams are frsutrated with each other.
Lakers looking to dominate west like 2 years back but Kingz blocking their way and 3rd straight year for Kingz to be eliminated by Lakers in the playoffs.

Christie, Fox Fight After Toss

By Associated Press
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings couldn’t wait for the regular season to express their dislike for each other.

The Lakers’ Rick Fox and the Kings’ Doug Christie fought each other in the tunnel near the court after they were ejected from Friday night’s preseason game. Neither player appeared to be seriously hurt.

The scuffle began with a little more than two minutes gone in the final exhibition for both teams. Christie drew an offensive foul when Fox turned and knocked him down with an elbow. After Christie got up from the floor, the players exchanged words. Fox pushed Christie in the face with an open hand, and Christie responded with a left-handed punch to Fox’s jaw.

After they were ejected, the players left the court in opposite directions, but Fox apparently went around the back and met up with Christie in the tunnel that leads to the locker room area. Fox grabbed Christie in a headlock, and they had to be separated by security, as well as the entire Kings bench.

The episode detracted from what ordinarily is a go-through-the-motions finale to the preseason.

“I thought it was going to be fun,” Kings center Vlade Divac told ESPN. “The last game of the preseason, you try to work on your game and get ready for the regular season.”

The teams have become rivals only in the past few years, as the Lakers started winning titles and the Kings started challenging them behind Chris Webber. Last season they battled to a seventh game in the Western Conference finals last season before the Lakers prevailed and went on to beat New Jersey for their third straight title.

They don’t play each other in the regular season until Christmas Day, and Friday night was their first meeting of the preseason. The game was played as a doubleheader at Staples Center. Cleveland and Milwaukee played the early game.

The teams regularly trade insults, but the rhetoric heated up before Friday night’s game as Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal said, “I’m not worried about the Sacramento Queens.”

By Tim Brown, Times Staff Writer

Rick Fox did not practice Saturday, and the NBA did not issue its sanctions for Friday night’s fights, and so the Lakers and Sacramento Kings stood about where they did when Fox and Doug Christie were pulled apart, each defiant and disgusted.

**The Lakers figure on a suspension for Fox, who fought Christie twice during Friday’s exhibition game, once on the court and again after running 100 feet or so through a hallway, past a handful of security guards. They also fear a short suspension for Shaquille O’Neal, who left the bench to defend an outnumbered Fox in the far tunnel at Staples Center.

Christie, who during the first altercation threw a closed-fisted punch that connected with Fox’s chin, also would seem to be destined for a suspension, as would many of his teammates, who left the bench area when the second fight began.**

According to the NBA rule book, during an altercation “all players not participating in the game must remain in the vicinity of the bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game.”

The league would stagger those suspensions for the Kings.

A league spokesman said Saturday that Stu Jackson, NBA vice president of operations, would rule today at the earliest after reviewing tape and referees’ accounts of the incidents. Fox, the Lakers’ starting small forward in all three championship seasons, could be out five games or more and be fined a substantial sum (not exceeding $35,000, according to NBA guidelines), and the other suspensions should lessen from there.

SHAQ Says:

Sacramento Kings is the best WNBA team :rotfl:

Fox out for 6 games
Christie out for 2 games... both missing the opener tommorow

JASON KIDD..........is the man

For being such a confident team, its ironic how Lakers take such cheap shots no? And what is it with the whole elbow thing. Lakers are always elbowing the Kings players. Especially SHAQ for being so big he tends to act a little too defensive. Their whole team needs anger management classes.

P.S. GO KINGS!

Thanks

Name calling by Lakers shows the frustration they have becuase Kings is the only team who could beat them, the barely won last year in the playoffs, and they know doing it again will be a huge task.

Exciting game yesterday b/w Lakers and Portland.
Kobe Bryant recorded a triple-double for the second straight game on Sunday, as the Lakers forced overtime and held on for a 98-95 victory over the Blazers. Bryant finished with 33 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists.
Watch out for Kobe, it wont surprise me if he wins the MVP of the season award this year :D
