ISLAMABAD: Industries and Production Minister Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo claimed that mills owned by Mian Nawaz Sharif and Humayun Akhtar were involved in sugar hoarding.
He made this startling disclosure while talking to reporters at the Prime Minister House here on Friday.Prime Minister Gilani said on Friday that stocks of three sugar mills, which were not allowing the TCP to lift their already contracted stocks, would be confiscated, if they did not release their stocks as per agreement.
Wattoo not only revealed the identity of these sugar mills but also gave details of stocks they possessed.Wattoo said the Tandilianwala Sugar Mills owned by former commerce minister Humayun Akhtar Khan and his brother Senator Haroon Akhtar Khan possessed 78,000 tonnes stocks of the TCP.
“The Brother Sugar Mills owned by PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and his family, has a stock of 10,000 tonnes, while the third mills is the Kashmir Sugar Mills with a stock of 5,000 tonnes,” he added.
He said sugar prices, which have reached all-time high of Rs 55-60 per kg in various parts of the country, would remain unchanged at Rs38 per kg at USC outlets. He said the sale of sugar at outlets would benefit consumers to the tune of Rs 980 million because the price difference of sugar with the market price was Rs 12-14 per kg.

Nawa’ Sharif used slogans like “jaag Punjabi jaag” in order to win Punjabi votes. And he got what he wanted. Many Punjabis support him for his being Punjabi, regardless of the security risk this Taliban supporter is. When it comes to nationalist politics, all Pakistanis are same … whether they are Punjabis, new/old Sindhis, Seraikis, Pashtuns, etc.
This Nawa’ baboon had Pakistan thrown down in abyss before. And looks like he still playing his games.
I don’t see anything wrong with anyone playing Punjabi card to win votes, but I sincerely believe that Nawaz is not the right person to represent Punjabis. He is dangerous for the country due to his dubious past, and his questionable affiliation with khariji Talibanic ideology. Plus he is not eligible to be a PM due to his low IQ.
LAHORE: Revenue officials backed by police raided sugar mills and godowns across Punjab on Friday and seized hundreds of thousands of hoarded sugar bags.
The raids began after Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif ordered a crackdown on sugar hoarders and said that their stocks be brought into the market in 24 hours and sold at fixed prices.
According to our Toba Tek Singh correspondent, the district administration on Friday took control of the stocks of Kamalia and Chaudhry sugar mills.
Kamalia Sugar Mills is owned by former senator Farooq Ahmad Khan and Chaudhry Sugar Mills by Nawaz Sharif family.

I am sorry. Punjab is never a major sporter of N$. It is Establisnment which often arranges wotes for him.** Watoo** and N$ remained together for years. Watoo was never a PPP activest. He was independent in 2008 election. Both are from Mafia League.

MQM supporters don't deny their love of Altaf. That is only an assumption on your part. What is not assumption is Nawaz's soft corner to Talibanic ideology, and Punjabis like you who still continue to support him for his being Punjabi, regardless of his anti-Pakistan Talibanic mindset. Nawaz is a product of anti-Islam military dictatorship of Zia, and it shows. His closeness to Saudi salafi/wahhabi monarchy should be a cause of concern for all Pakistanis.
I think Shahbaz Sharif is better than his Monkey brother. At least his IQ is better. Shahbaz's ordering does not change the fact that the mill is owned by Nawaz.
