Re: Narrow ties or the wide ones?
maybe you can put the question in the linguistics forum - there are some urdu nerds in there
gadhay, that was a web belt..wear with modern khakis a t-shirt and some bill purcels..for a cool classic comfy look for lounging..
tum paindu logon ko ab kya samjhaoon..but carry on, wear your highwater 3 pleat green dockers with oxblood michael jackson style penny loafers and dark socks, mismatched belt and short sleeved button down plaid dress shirts…
why do I even bother..
because bhai sahab thinks web or canvas belts are the same as skinny knit ties..![]()
No I dont take clients from GS, its a hopeless task.
no I just ogle desi aunties bouncing arund attempting to dance on their two left feet. ![]()

mont blanc and fendi is played out.
but then you are in dubai, I am surprised you did not say cartier and christian dior ;)
this is not 1980s.

Re: Narrow ties or the wide ones?
Oh mon Gucci…
X2, either you’re a really effeminate man who secretly indulges in his wife’s magazines… Or you’re a man with impeccable taste… To avoid a beating i will opt for the latter
… It is clearly evident that you’ve been to Italy… So many men i know transform their outlook on fashion after being there… I vote for X2 as the first male mod of the health and beauty forum… Impart your fashion advice on these becharay… What are unkils for eh? ![]()
Re: Narrow ties or the wide ones?
wife's magazines? ladies magazines dont cover men's fashions.
GQ, esquire, mens health etc are more my reading, but really while they have info and trends, at the end of the day the style of a person should be uniquely theirs, that is why u see jacque arses from Bahrain or saudi go into a designer store and just have the stylist their dress them, but its not them, they cant carry the look, Nothing is simpler than having a credit card, fashion show pics, magazines or designers materials and just buy whatever is in at that time.
having a personal style..now that takes something.
I was the first mod of culture but was booted out :( dunn wanna be a mod now
Italy helped, but I was influenced by my dad who is a sharp dresser and it clicked around when i was 19. def helped in college :)
Re: Narrow ties or the wide ones?
That gives me an idea for an awesome thread in Culture ![]()
Thanks X2 :aliyish:

I guess you're not into the regal or classy look then..but rathar an uncle wanting-to-be-chokra :P
Mont Blanc and Fendi can never go out of fashion or be 'played' enuff!
Horrible sight is people with lots of money and obnoxious sense of style/dressing. And those that blv expensive is better.. sigh

In a regal or classy look? does a person have one look? sometimes someone is classy, sometimes someone is urban and modern, sometimes its laid back and casual, sometimes is a beachcomber bum look....The only look I am into is my look.
It has nothing to do with prices, montblanc and hublot or Fendi and Zegna compare very well on prices.
as far as your last statement, I agree 100%, said it earlier about people who dont have a sense on own style and are slave to brands and fads. even if the brands are montblanc and fendi. :)
however if you are so insistent on buying me a montblanc watch and a Fendi suit, please go ahead.
Re: Narrow ties or the wide ones?
X2 and Gina, you reminded me of what the scene in London is like, when the Arabs and their harem fly over for their annual break in London… we call it “Arab August” and “Saudi September”… all you see in Harrods is rich arab men and women waltzing around with stylists… just throwing money at them and buying things that are “in”… and obscenely expensive… Harrods specially import extortionate things around this time, as they know the arabs will for sure buy it ![]()
“money can’t buy you style” as they say… amen.. ![]()
but it can make you hire stylists who can buy style for you ![]()
what idea? how people are influenced by the style of their parents?
I was lucky nuff to have my dad’s suits while I was in highschool. they rocked.
Then I grew taller and could not wear them.
he is the best dressed man that I personally know. much of my style choices are influenced by him.
Ugh..yes I remember. the whole clan after emptying a whole bottle of perfume on em…yep..
but you know where you dont see many of these clowns?
Hardie Amies or Henry Poole.
only after the flash and the brand name on billboards and stuff.
