Frankly I think that’s a unrealistic expectation where you have a group of mostly women commenting on other women’s choices regarding wedding attire/related items. Yes it would be nice but it’s not a realistic expectation.
I think OP needs a reality check when it comes to internet forums. People here will make very nice comments and very mean comments. In between that, you’ll have people share their opinions without anazlying whether or not they’re coming acros as pleasant/light-hearted. That’s just how it is and none of us can change that. Frankly, if OP is truly that sensitive when it comes to reading unpleasant comments…then its best that she stay off forums (or at least wedding forums b/c I have yet to see a wedding forum where EVERYONE is super nice ALL the time).
Besides, the thread that inspired this thread is about celebs. Celebs aren’t stupid. They make their career out of getting attention (whether it’s good OR bad) and are laughing all the way to the bank. I wouldn’t waste a single moment worrying about their feelings b/c someone made a nasty comment about how they looked on their wedding day. Receiving negative comments/backlash is part of their CHOSEN career and they’re fully aware of it.
