First thing is that: Arif Alvi of PTI confessed on TV that in May general election, EC gave him ballot boxes and voting stuffs to take to polling stations, and that is clear cooperation of EC with PTI. It is duty of EC to keep ballot boxes and other election stuffs within its security and especially not to let contesting candidates or party access to it. Thus, from Arif Alvi of PTIs own confession that he had access to polling boxes is enough proof that PTI was involved in rigging.

Let study NA 254 election result (happened on 22 Aug 2013) as due to murder of ANP candidate, election did not take place in May. Important part of 22 Aug election was that, army was in control inside and outside of polling station, as well as observing voters and polling stations’ staff.

Before election, PTI was doing propaganda that they would win the election at NA 254 … and they were helped by ANP and JI who boycotted the election. Thus PTI was also hoping to bag votes from supporters of ANP and JI. Who knows, probably PTI was thinking that army would not be inside the polling station and they would be able to rig the election, hence their confidence of winning NA 254.

In by-election normally party who is strong in constituency may lose the seat (if election is fair) because many voters of winning party do not vote but committed voters of losing party make extra effort to vote, especially when that party do propaganda that if voters comes out to vote them, then they could win. PTI was doing same, a lot of propaganda that they would win NA 254. Let see some newspaper reports:

LAKIN … after election … PTI sporters started asking PTI leaders who are keeping them day-dreaming:

Yea kiya hua … kaisay hua … kewn ker hua … PTI Phusssssss kewn ho gia?

Then came the answer from PTI leaders:

Yea jo hua … bura hua … EC tou tayeear tha … ham nay hee zaidah mang liya … army pooling booth kay andar bhie aa gayee aur bahar bhie… aur rigging na-mumkin ho gayee … phir phussss tou hona hee tha … aur wohi ho giya … PTI phusss ho gayee L

MQM won the seat with … 53045 votes (that was ~ 84 percent of valid cast votes)
PTI came second with … 5855 votes (that was ~ 9 percent of valid cast votes)

You are absolutely right .. yea aap nay sahi kaha … jhoot kay payon nahi hotay and that is why if I try to be truthful to the best of my ability. That is why I normally try to give reference.

Check clock … 2.30 minutes onward … and confession of PTI candidate Arif Alvi that he had cooperation from Election Commission allowed Arif Alvi handle ballot boxes … something EC should not allow a candidate to even touch … and same repeated by MQM Babar Ghauri at around 3.30 minutes onward … that Arif Alvi handled ballot boxes.

As for whatever rest I mentioned, I gave reference … directly from EC own website … and newspapers. Anyhow, if you can prove something that is untrue, I am always willing to admit, as whatever I write I believe I am writing true … but by any chance if I got something wrong, I would not be hesitant to admit it … rather do what many others do … that is, calling things that they do not like as untrue or joke … without proving that to be untrue.

So, please tell PTI supporters that if they lie, at least lie that can not be proven, else their lies are occasionally blatant lies (similar blatant lies that PMLN is famous for … especially Nawaz Shareef)

If AH & Co were any good, Karachi would have been a city like Banglore - a hub of IT! People supported them overwhelmingly in the early years but what they gave in return - once the community known for education - so much lost by people of Karachi in the last 28 years!

If anyone wants to bring law and order using people who are not representative of the area, then it is very difficult if not impossible to implement law and order or bring peace.

Waisay, from my knowledge and experience, Karachi only paid taxes but got very little or nothing out of government in years before last 28 years.

Unfortunately, in the past and to extend at present too, even government employees were unrepresentative of local population, and that means, police, rangers, court staff, municipality, employees or any local or national government departments in Karachi, nowhere one could have found true representation of Karachi population. I do not know, during those days, if it was occupation of Karachi or people of Karachi were really equal citizen of an independent country.

Interesting discussion. Although Nadra thumb verification casts doubt over many votes, it does not prove in any way that rigging was only done by the winning candidate
