NADRA report says 77,643 fake votes cast in NA-256 **

KARACHI: The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) has submitted its report of thumbprint verification for NA-256 (Karachi) to the election tribunal.

According to the report, 77,643 fake votes were cast in the constituency during the May 11 general elections. ** The report further states that out of 84,448 votes cast in the constituency only 6,805 could be verified.** 11,043 votes were cast using fake identification cards.

The election win of MQM candidate Iqbal Muhammad Ali on NA-256 had been challenged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Zubair Khan.

An earlier report presented by NADRA regarding voter verification for NA-258 (Karachi) had also revealed voter fraud.

In the previous elections the seats from NA 250 to 258 were in a chance for some upsets but then we know what happened.

And that's just one third of the constituency because PTI candidate paid for Nadra verification out of his own pocket at 10 RS per vote.

Imagine the whole constituency and all other such constituency. tip of the iceberg

That's right. The money should now be reimbursed by the ECP as it was basically its responsibility to ensure free and fair poll, which it failed horrifically.

Agreed. He should be compensated atleast Rs. 10 per vote for exposing the fraud in addition to the official fees paid to NADRA. ECP should investigate rest of constituencies of Karachi. I am sure it will find more such frauds.

The NADRA evaluation data is being misreported but the real picture is pretty dismal too. It’s not true that 77K out of 84K votes were fake. 57K votes could not be verified because fingerprint quality was bad. Doesn’tmean that they were fake.
Out of the remaining 27K, only 6K were authentic . An almost equal number were duplicate votes (i.e. same voter voted more than once). One guy, (named in the report with address) voted 35 times. 11K were based on invalid NIC numbers.
In summary, about 25% of the verifiable votes were valid while around 75% were fraudulent.

^^^ It is obvious that report is partially presented just to malign a party or make a storm in tea cup. Anyhow … let take the DAWN concocted report (not NADRA report) at face value. … So what? :slight_smile:

No one knows how many PTI’s 69072 votes were fake (Jali) votes, how many MQM’s 151788 votes were fake (Jali) votes, and how many votes of other parties were fake (jail) votes.

One thing is clear that margin of votes MQM won against PTI is 82712 votes.

And that happened when Pakistan election commission was fully cooperating with PTI in every respect, and thus PTI has most chances of rigging the election.

Second thing we know is that … according to Dawn news, 77643 votes were fake votes in NA 256 constituency where MQM won with a margin of 82712. That means, if all fake votes were MQM votes (very unlikely) then also this fake votes had no effect on final result, other than demoralising MQM opponents … as even if one assumes that all fake votes was of MQM votes, then also even if we deduct this 77643 votes from MQM total votes in the constituency (NA256), MQM would have won the seats.

So, PTI has no case to pursue in Punjab? I have seen videos in mubashir luqman's program where one mochan wala was doing finger impressions all by himself on ballots.

NA 122 and 125 were some seats which were rigged heavily in Lahore, the application for recounting is with the election commission but they dont want to verify them.
