Interesting discussion. Although Nadra thumb verification casts doubt over many votes, it does not prove in any way that rigging was only done by the winning candidate.....
It at least proves that something fishy went on in the elections.... defending rigging, regardless who did it, is shameful to say the least. They didn't even try to suggest improvements in the process for the future.
Shameful that the promises of local bodies elections are no where in the picture either.

That's not true for most of Punjab though. It had more to with their loyalties which were with the Sharifs. They might have been promised hefty rewards in return but there was no as such threat to their lives

RO's are usually teachers (Government servants) and in Punjab they seemed to have been controlled by the caretaker CM (Najam Sethi).

Rigging of a single vote is against law, whether its done by PTI, MQM or PPP or any party. The bottom line is that when we have a history of massive rigging allegation in a city, why not the most political party of the city demand voting in the presence of military. They won by tens of thousands of votes (even if the rigging is taken out as per your analysis), so they should be the most comfortable with the transparent election.
Imagine a voter coming to Azizabad polling station next to 90 with PTI, ANP or PPP flag on his car and badge on his chest. Why can’t we grow up and take democracy with its true spirit.
Having lived in Karachi and witnessed 85 to 97 elections myself, I know how and who does rigging.

This is not just rigging. It is also height of incompetency and lack of conviction on part of ECP. I recommend watching Off the record with Kashif Abbasi where JKT eloquently explains the issues of rigging, magnetic ink and ballot papers.
