Your photos are so pretty! Congratulations! BTW, when did you get married? And are you a native Lahori or did you travel from UK or US for your wedding?
I love Lajwanti–they did my valima outfit, and several other party outfits of mine over the years. But I also have a big problem with them about their attitudes and service. They never deliver on time, they’re totally scattered, and now their boutique on MM Alam Rd is closed. They’re family friends of my in-laws, and regardless of that, the husband and wife are pretty arrogant. If you have the patience, then by all means…their designs are works of art. This past winter, they made it seem as if they are no longer interested in doing women’s clothes. Do you know if they are still active in the bridal wear scene?
Zardozi was another good choice–they’ve gained a lot of popularity and they make good stuff too.
Both of your makeup artists are true masters at what they do–I’m happy that you had a good experience! Did you get Shahzad to do your makeup? I wish you could post a full photo of your makeup–but I think you’d have to give up your anonymity for that…

i totally agree, u really need to have patience to deal with Lajwanti.. but u do get a good product in the end… they drive u nuts with delivery though..my bro had a real go at the wife.. he sorta told her off.. well actually did tell her off..oh well 
im actually from Australia and got married about 6 weeks ago (december).. so yeah, i travelled from Aus to lahore to have my wedding… oh and Lajwanti still do quite a bit of bridal wear but u have to go to the actual place.. as in not to the boutique… their designs are exqusite…but u do end up paying for the name… khair its a once in lifetime sorta thing and yeah.. Zardosi have really really good designs too.. however their kaam isnt as fine and unique as Lajwanti…
yeah, Shehzad did my makeup.. i was so excited…cus he only did me and this model called Sara Gilani… she was pretty impressed with what he did on me too.. madeeha was pretty good too… she made me look a bit white but i was still happy with what they did…
hehe…my pics dont quite show how good the make up was though.. so no huge loss na…the original pics are heaps better… credit goes all to the photographer and the make up artists

Im in love with sadz wedding outfit ..never liked the idea of typical red n maroon but everything is in desgin which makes outfit perfect ..love ur makeup , hairstyle , jewellery n everything ..i have seen so so so many brides sach me but u were stunning ..i mean it :k:..

all those names i have never heard before hehe. but INSHALLAH i will do check those places, if they are in karachi. also i need to make sure with my inlaws which dress they are going to bring, i know mostly it’s valima’s dress, but i know some ppl who have tradition that duhan wear on her wedding day a dress that her MIL bought for her.
by the way, i also want to know really good makeup places in karachi, please help me with that too.

You should be very happy with your bridal wear. It's good to see a modern bride with cutting edge clothes, MashaAllah. The kaam is extraordinary! I know Zardozi isn't the same level as a designer, but they're a good zari house, and your outfit was lovely nonetheless. Best wishes to you!

hmm i forgot the name of the road… i’ll find out from mum and let u know… its like a house… and they have their “adah” at the back of it..
yeah, mum wanted me to be a real modern bride on the wedding day.. hence all my jewellery is quite different… i reckon i can wear my bhindya again too some day hehe
yanzala, im not too good with stuff in karachi… i think sahar and some other girls here can be more of a help than me in regards to places there

I got my make-up done from Cistre, which is in the Karachi Sheraton. I was really happy with it. It was dressy but not caked on. Everyone said it looked really nice. The people who worked there were really nice as well. Highly recommended.

which day makeup was it?? walima or barat, actually i am more worried about my barat makeup cuz i have seen pretty valmia dulhan with their light color dress and their makeup according to their dress look nice sometimes shimmery and feathery, but barat day makeup (that i have seen) is not always really pretty, all the brides look kinda same with dark dark lipsticka and gold shade eyeyshadow 
does anyone know if athar shehzad have any sort of branch in karachi, i have seen his makeup on tv (he was applying makeup in that show) and i really liked it.
i don’t want to go to those places, like deplex or rose, shehlaz etc etc, all the brides from there looks same to me:mad: unless the girl is really pretty

okay..let me just say that i’m pretty much a tomboy when it comes to clothes and jewelry, so please explain what a ‘maatha patti’ is?? i’ve never even heard of it…
btw, your jewelry looks great! i’d love to see some pics of the dresses you’re gonna wear…
