Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
I have a question for the OP. If his parents come around to accepting you, would you consider him to the best guy for you?

Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
Really? I don't even find goray chittay guys attractive. I think that might be a generalization. Plus personality matters more than looks ever will.
I think subconsciously desi (Pakistani) girls would prefer Goray over kaalay.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
So what is the question here? Or was there any intention of it?![]()
It was a bad deal, you seem to be moving on. That’s good.

I have said to him its over, it cant change now. Too many people know about our issues, his sis in law had encourged him with this break up, and i cant live with someone knowing she tried to do this and he fell for it.
i got a feeling the parents will come around, but i'm hoping they wont want ti anymore. I stil love him, but i cant be with someone who cant stand by me.

Who wouls you choose a kala and had a good heart, stood up for me or a gora who was abusive and thought about himself.
maybe there are people who look purely at the exterior. Well i don't. Yes physical attraction counts, and i did find him attractive and more he was nice the deeper i fell.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
I wanted to share my experience. I was looking forward to getting married after so long, it hasnt happened, i’m depressed. I needed some form of social interaction, since i have no one to talk to this about?

Well, if its over, its over. It usually takes about 2 years to truly get over someone. Just be patient and don't do anything during rebound and you will be fine.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
I guess two years or more is the cut off when there was deep love from one side where you saw the person as special and one that made a huge impact on your life. But that's two years down the drain that we can't get back and such a waste of time. Rebound state is such fragile time though and one doesn't want to get into a deeper mess.

I feel two years is too long.
I'm not sure how long i will take to move on, it seems he's already looking for someone else, someone bengali, even though he always said he doesnt find the attractive and could never be with one.
I'll give it 6 months. I'm 30, im not getting any younger, i dont want to waste my life away, especially since i have no one at home to speak or any real friends.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
Sorry that you had to endure this.

LittleRocket, don't even think about getting desperate because you're 30 or because you're feeling the self pressure or you're emotionally down, this event is just a part of how things are supposed to go. After you get over it and heal you'll see that it was all for the best and it was part of Allah's plan to get you on route to your life partner and a happy life. Dive into this moment and use it as a tool to transform yourself into fine china in hot heels that's successful in life.
Does he live in the same city as you even now after it ended?
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
His parents were most likely nationalistic people that didn't like you because of whatever happened over 40 years, I know some Bengalis irl that hold a grudge against Pakistanis because of whatever happened in the past.
It's better for everybody(imo) to date/marry their own kind, inter-racial/cultural dating can lead up to a lot of problems in the future.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
That reminds me of a classic from Pakistan.
Cars were rarity at one time so people used to care more about them then their well being.
One guy who owned a car comes to work all bandaged up and one hand in a sling.
So people ask him what happened.
He said " meri car ka accident ho gaya"
The other said “car ko toh kuch nahi hoa?”
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
And why do you still love someone who can’t stand by you? ![]()
You are Little Rocket. Punjabi main kahtay hain “Pae Ja-o”.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy

It'll go away with time. You should listen to the old PTV pakistani pop song "Yeh tou phir bas" by Shehzad Mohgal

nobody takes care of you, you take care of yourself. littlerocket.

I like sawla rang - you know the one majority of desi folks have.
Re: My story- dumped by a bangladeshi guy
Mr McPendo please define "Bengaliness"???? gosh talk about stereotyping!!!
And FYI not all Bengalis are "brown" as such......we have goray chittay and really good looking people tooo...... you mean to say all Pakis are gorat chittay????
