Maybe plan something for after your sister's wedding, if it's coming up soon. Do it at a time when you can relax and focus on yourself. Plan a whole day together, get dressed up, take your photos, eat some place nice, etc.

you should also ask your sister's photographer if he can take a few snaps of just you and your husband on your sisters wedding... maybe pay him/her a little extra yourselves if need be.
You will both be dressed up, looking smart.
If you do, then keep them natural, don't do the typical poses your sister will be doing with her husband.

sisila: we had a very quick wedding with only a few weeks to plan..my inlaws had a low budget therefore we had a low cost wedding. I do have nikah pictures but none are professional. We only had nikah, no ruksati due to issues at the time because it was a love marriage.

Aliyahali: its ok you were not too harsh. I think I compare my pictures to beautiful pics on this website of pretty brides and other websites that are on the internet. I know I need to stop comparing my wedding to my sisters but it is very hard:(. I will try to upload more pics soon if my scanner works! Does your brother not put up any of his wedding pics because they didnt come out well?

They do have some nice wedding protraits.
What I meant to say is that, I think when you first get married, your wedding pictures are a very big deal and most girls probably want them up all the time.
But I think after time, after some years, you have so much more as a couple, and even though the wedding was and still is a big deal it was 3/4 days a long time ago.
You make so many more memories, and those life experiences like holidays, pictures of your kids, random snaps can mean just as much, (maybe more) than the wedding pics.
Am I making sense anyone?
Do you have a good digital camera? If not buy one, it doesn't have to be an expensive one. I'm always taking pictures of stuff, my family, places I go to.
Start taking pictures, random snaps of you, husband and kids (sorry, I can't remember if you have any). Occasionally those random snaps come out well and you can have those printed and put up.

ami -- i don't have any professional photos up from my wedding. i have my professional photos in albums. i have one or two photos up but they were taken by family and given to us.

ami, u luk gorjus mashallah, ur so pretty! & trust me the background is not bad at all, i mean you & ur husband look lovely & thats wot everyone focuses on...more to the point ur happily married so if nething you shud laugh about it cos it cant b changed...but if it really matters to u then yes u can easily go to these fotoshops and get the background edited...

You need to snap out of this, seriously. Yes it looks tacky but it was a long time ago....and if your saying there was issues during the time then your blessed you still got to marry who you wanted.
You can't have another wedding but get yourself an amazing outfit have your husband get ready and get pictures taken. Now a days photographers will go to the most ordinary of locations and take beautiful pictures, doesn't have to be for weddings only.
Be proactive if this is bothering you so much.
ami,dont bother too much i too dont have any professional walima pic:(t,though my walima dress and makeup was much better than baraat one,there are some taken by family members and they are quite bad,i dont care much,life is beyond that.Infact there are too many ups and down in life that i do not get time to think about that.
In case,the background in ur pics can easily be changed by photoshop,and also the quality of pic can be improved many times.
ınfact we have many photoshop experts here in GS.

I have downloaded some more pics of my nikah and registration and valima...my scanner didnt work so I have taken a photo of the photos with my camera, therefore not that clear...Let me know what you think of them..It is in my albums..
Are there any photoshop experts willing to help me please:)
