Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
Yes this is really very sad and condemable but majority of the people who were caught and killed were callous killers who deserved to be killed. I also know one innocent chap who allowed to use his shop phone by some terrorist and later picked by the agencies and released after a week but succumbed to the tortures done on him the very next day.
Not true, majority was innocent and majority of activists killed were small fries. Worst affected was the urdu speaking population in general that was treated with extreme hostility, search and destroy tactics targetted entire mohallas that became victims of state sponsored terrorism.
What ppl forget is the Mqm Haqiqi fully armed and openly sponsored by the state. These guys were recognized goons of Mqm that changed sides and showed no mercy on their opponents. MQM (H) was the biggest extortionist, kidnapping for ransom, state sponsored terrorists.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
The BB/NB operation led to hundreds of terrorist rat’s being killed and thousands running away.
unfortunately some innocents were killed, mostly when the MQM terrorists would use inoocent people as ‘cover’ when firing on the Police
The operation was not perfect, but released Karachi from the bloodbath of MQM murder’s and torture houses…until Mush brought them back!
For saving Karachi, we are eternally grateful to BB and Gen.Babar!![]()
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
^ Looks like BB and General work well together. The influence of Army in Pakistani politics will never go away.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.

1770 people killed in Karachi - in 1995 alone.
Massive human rights abuses by the PPP govt - unlawful detention, torture, deaths in custody, extrajudicial executions and disappearances. This is what people are giving the thumbs up to.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
i know innocent people who got humiliated and killed by the army/rangers during that time.
if anything that is what still motivates a huge amount of support for MQM. cruelty begets cruelty, and when people have reason to fear for their lives from the official forces and realise they are scum in the eyes of the govt they depend more on the vigilantes, even the ones with MQM's record.
for the people of karachi MQM is like the mafia don you make friends with to keep yourself safe from the racist bully ahole cop who you know will try to beat you up whenever he gets the chance.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
^ It is Pakistan we are talking about. People have no idea what/who they are giving their vote or thumbs up to.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
as for this footage, it is my educated guess that while MQM may have been exchanging fire in some areas with PPP/ANP/MMA idiots, their campaign for shutting down the city through violence during the CJ's trip was pre-planned. only they had anything to gain through this show of power. MQM's vague claims about a conspiracy to bring down Karachi is laughable.

Aalsi, the MQM carried out quite bloody terrorist acts, and no one should deny that. But to give thumbs up to the likes of BB who called mohajirs "rats", and Naseerullah Babar (creator of the Taliban) who treated them as such, is downright hypocritcal from the other side.
Upto 10,000 people were killed in the 1993-96 Karachi bloodshed that I witnessed myself day in day out. So bad was the terror perpetrated by both sides (MQM and PPP govt), that you could not even go to the roof top of your own house! I saw people literally being killed in front of me by the rangers, and others by the MQM. That was terrorism - Iraq style - by the state and its opponents.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
MQM H was a shameful creation of Pakistan Army and ISI who were by no means no lesser ghundas than MQM. Even in some cases they were far more than them - they even killed cows for sacrifice on Baqar Eid.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
In the 1993-96 period MQM (Haqiqi) was armed by the PPP govt and Naseerullah Babar, and they ended committing the most heinous crimes of that period. These people are now allied with the ARD against this government.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
Is MQM Landhi biggest torture cell belongs to MQM(H)......amazed....
you think what Gen Naseer killed the hard-core of MQM..all were innocents and angels..if few really innocents also killed...then it happens in extra judicial cases...its far better than courts release 40 40 people murderes honorably because no proof of their malicious murders and no one is willing to give eveidence against them in courts due to torture cells....

If i remember correctly then what you are saying is actually totally opposite to what Prophet (PBUH) said. Let me quote "If 99 of the 100 people are guilty and 1 is not but there is no way to identify non-guilty person and there is a fear that he will be punished for crimes he did not do, its better to release 99 criminal persons than to punish 1 who has not committed the crime."
btw do you know evidence is the base of punishment in Islam?
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
I see, we are still going on about the fact that because one govt allegedly did something wrong some years ago than it justifies whatever has happened now. Talk about learning from history. If not, why are we discussing what happened in the past while ignoring what is going on now. No wonder we are in a mess.

So if Islamic terrorist were being "missed" by agencies now, why you and the cj make noise?

Naseerullah Babar used to say that if there was a room of 40 people, and only 1 amongst them was alleged terrorist, then he did not care if all were killed as long as that 1 alleged terrorist was. That is how that man ordered the slaughter of thousands of people in so-called extra-judicial killings for 3 years stright. It is interesting to see those who support "judicial indepedence" today are supporting the extra-judicial massacres and disappearances/kidnappings by the PPP govt in the 1990's.

I am sure it more than 10,000 people were killed.
Re: Muttahida screens footage of violence.
10,000 is an exageration!
