I think this thread has been very effective in exposing the anti-Pakistan elements who can not think beyond their narrow confines of ethnicity and racism. These are the people who would rather see a Pakistani city become rotten if they hate people living there, even if they are their Muslim "brethren".
These ignorants never understood the Ideology of Pakistan.
Karachi once most beautiful and cleanest city of India and later Pakistan till late seventies is now ugliest, dirtiest and safe haven for criminals and terrorists.
And what do you think caused this turnover?

Ah and the people who love Mustafa Kamaal the racist Commando, the terrorist nazim are the so called Pakistani lovers (their allama altaf still having dreams about jinnah-pur), who throw insults at Pakhtuns, a large community in the city he governs, curses at helpless women with dying fathers by calling them 'paghal key bachey' and abuses people in the media. When confronted about his lies recorded on TV, he flat out denies them his khinsiyani hansi and goes 'but i waaaaaz best mayooor acaarding to faarun paaalaci rasaala'.

Indeed it has very clearly exposed people, who are anti-Pakistan, like you. People who support a party that burned Pakistani flag at Mazar-e-Quaid, who called creation of Pakistan a mistake (though they are the ones benefitted most from it) and who day in and day out are involved in ethnic terrorism. Just in last 7 months 400 people have been killed in Karachi, in target killings, the favourite modus ope***** of MQM.
Please read my post again. I gave the detail reasons.
.......... I was in Malaysia recently and all boys and girls at immigration were young (24 +/-). Only one white haired boss (supervisor) roaming around, perhaps giving them training.......
do you imagine immigration clerks as extremely talented beings?
The only issue I have with Karachi is law and order. I do not know anyone in Karachi who has not at least lost a mobile phone (at least once!). Otherwise corruption, lack of planning, lack of respect for fellow beings, etc are as common as any other part of the country.

you are absolutely right.., the law & order situation in Karachi is extremely disgraceful..., this more then any thing else is what is destroying the city..., but this is not something that can be controlled directly by the Mayor..., so this is not a valid standard for strictly judging the mayors performance.
Kakaballi, I mentioned about opportunities given to younger generations....

I am amazed. The first duty of ANY government is to protect lives and property of people. District Government is no exception (read Local Governments Ordinance, 2001 for reference). I have nothing against the particular Mayor of Karachi regarding this however, since the situation has been like this for many years.
You are right, he and his party do not control lawlessness. They promote it.
Re: Mustafa Kamal - Cruising Karachi - New Horizon
If we separate Kamal from MQM then picture will be more clear and lets not mix two for the sake of fair discussion.
He has done a lot no doubt.
Others might have done something but not nearly as he has done so far and certainly a lot more needs to be done.
Corruption, security problem, robbery, cleanliness and other major problems are not really under kamal's jurisdiction.
Everyone is responsible to play his/her part including common citizens from any background.
I must say, karachi had been much cleaner regardless who ever was Mayor simply because of its population being not as high as it is today. The influx of people is just out of control.
Not against any particular group or ethnicity here. Its a simple fact.
Police needs to be *local **and **be governed by local bodies.
*
More importantly, the *police chief must be elected by locals.
*
Police officials come and give a boost to corruption. Everyone knows what they do and that's no news. (Detail of their corruption can be discussed separately and how they cause law and order situations) Again not in the domain of city officials including Kamal.
In essence, he is much better and competent than others regardless of which party he may belong to.
What I mean is that MQM may be controversial but Kamal's work for Karachi should not.
One should be open-hearted to give credit when it is due.
Re: Mustafa Kamal - Cruising Karachi - New Horizon
^You cannot separate Kamal from MQM, when he is actively engaged in promoting the party and its leader Altaf Hussain. Every sentence he utters must contain the phrase, merey Quaid Altaf Hussain. His party is still engaged in assissinations, which happen on daily basis in Karachi.

I fully agree to you on these that their government not only has failed in providing security they are directly involved in the criminal activities, while ideally it should be against their interest as it hurts their political base more then anybody else & also considering that this is not the main source of 'income' for this mafia..., its the big businesses like industrialists , stock brokers , big traders & in recent times even such formal main stream businesses like banks is from where they get their main income from..., the reason why they allow their goons to be able to do this is that they are not the only outfit that are engaged in such petty street crimes which is the source of quick money for those young goons that have been loaded with weapons by all sides..., if they would ban this amongst their outfit this would mean a flurry of defections from their 'gangs' to other 'gangs'..., & this muscle power is the foundation on which these mafias operate so they cannot afford this.
The only reason there is appreciation amongst Karachites for MK is for the unprecedented development works done during his tenure & that this is looked at orthogonally with the violence situation as that would exists irrespective of any mayor
^that much is understandable. I mean people of pakistan rarely see anyone working so if someone does regardless of the shady bits they thank Allah for the guy. Cant help but feel how morbidly depressing the situation is. And cant help but feel that while we can compliment the guy on his progressive works we should also denounce him on his political affiliation with a party that resorts readily to criminal activities. I would just feel if pakistanis were to recieve higher standarads of establishment they should demand it by no small measures.
Interesting.
Curtain call for a whirlwind Nazim
Like him or not, Mustafa Kamal, with his active do-it-yourself work ethic, his in-your-face dealings and his almost frustrating enthusiasm, has become as close to a cult figure in Karachi as anyone in the city’s history. Kamal has won over many hearts and minds since 2005 — even those who may not have held any sympathies to his parent party. He has become the face of Karachi’s evolution, the poster-boy for development and the voice of modernity in this troubled city. He has become Karachi’s very own talisman.
He has his share of critics, but, by and large, he has the sort of overwhelming support in the city that cuts across class and ethnicity like no other figure in Karachi’s troubled history. Even his staunchest critics cannot wrong his dedication: ‘Waisay, Bande Ne Kaam Toh Kiya Hai,’ is a textbook comment in any debate over Kamal’s performance.
Things still remain far from ideal in Karachi, but when Kamal switches off the lights and punches out from his office in the Civic Centre on August 15, possibly for the last time, Kamal ought to walk out a contented man.
He came out of the blue and, against all odds, gave it his all, this Promethean Savant. If for nothing else, history will remember him for this alone.
Re: Mustafa Kamal - Cruising Karachi - New Horizon
^written by anither MQM stooge
^ That is what is expected from an enemy of Pakistani people. These people hate when someone does good for Pakistan.
Re: Mustafa Kamal - Cruising Karachi - New Horizon
^ Lets be clear now, a party whose leader/Pir; a convicted murderer calls Pakistan the biggest blunder in the history of mankind, in an enemy nation to please his masters if what we refer to as the enemy of Pakistani people.
Re: Mustafa Kamal - Cruising Karachi - New Horizon
I am neither from MQM nor I support MQM, But whatever Mustafa Kamal has done for Karachi, should be appreciated. If you compare him with other Mayors of Metropolitans, he is far ahead.
^ haha still reminds me of the fools they made out of themselves with the ‘faarun paalicy best mayor award’ thing they pulled! But look at the bright side, Kamaal got a chumma from altaf though the haanoooraary city councul award was cancelled after FP’s clarification and all the material from MQM’s site taken off instantly ![]()
It is good that threads like this bring up the anti-Pakistan elements here who hate to see any area of Pakistan develop.
Abusing Mustafa Kamal who worked day and night for the development of Pakistan can only be done by Pakistan's enemies.
