If Hadees by Abdali are correct then the writer of the original article is correct. Meaning of these Hadees is very clear.
The teachings of the Prophet on how you and I should treat our Non-Muslim friends and neighbours on a day to day basis as well as how government should treat a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state.
"He who believes in God and the Last Day should honour his guest, should not harm his neighbour, should speak good or keep quiet." (Bukhari, Muslim)
nothing particular about non-muslims in this. guests and neighbours are muslims.
"Whoever hurts a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state hurts me, and he who hurts me annoys God." (Bukhari)
"He who hurts a Non-Muslim citizen of a Muslim state, I am his adversary, and I shall be his adversary on the Day of a Judgement." (Bukhari)
"Beware on the Day of Judgement; I shall mysefl be complainant against him who wrongs a Non-Muslim citizen of a **Muslim state **or lays on him a responsibility greater than he can bear or deprives him of anything that belongs to him." (Al-Mawardi)
"Anyone who kills a **Non-Muslim who had become our ally **will not smell the fragrance of Paradise." (Bukhari)
Most of us don't live in a muslim state.

What if ....
"Muslim State" means a Muslim following the principles of Islam, rather than the political idea of State?

And also obvious Muslim interaction is disallowed toward me. I notice no one here communicates with me really.
I notice if I post something to a thread often it seems to be the last post.
Maybe because subject is Moot by then, I don't know.
Maybe a classy sign telling me to go away.

You shouldnt think that Purely. I used to think that at the very beginning which used to happen to me often. My post would often be the last post in posts in General and Cafe. But later that started to change. We dont want you to go away, and appreciate your contributions here, though we may not say it openly. smile
Salu miyaan, how can you possible equate every kaafir as being ‘opposed to Allah’? there are non-muslims who are just non-muslims without being opposed to Allah…here i think of ppl like Christians, Jews etc…there are even numerous atheists who do not (actively) oppose Allah.
btw, judging from your nick ur located in NY…so when is ur return flight to Pakistan booked? Because clearly, you do not want to interact with non-Muslims that often, let alone on a daily basis
Nesu miaN, when you start answering my questions in other posts and not walk out like a chicken, I will start answering your questions, till then Rab Rakha.
Its not my fault that your visa was denied. Sorry Matt, $hit happens, its life.

Crack open a dictionary love, and where I am from, i.e land of the articulately sane and so forth. Bin bullai mehmaan are only those who talk ****, and proceed to do so, and so far as I can see, I’m pretty much welcome. I’m having a “so” day.
So what and ****.
Under-eshstanding now?
I think I know what you are hitchkichAing (;)) about, empathy with our kind etc?
Try again love. And this time say it like you mean it.
And purely love, how about syaing something worth replying to?
When I will consider you worth of my reply, you will get one. Till then count starz

You are not "purely", except for maybe "purely stupid" or my beloved "salamander", purely is my yankie babe. Get your brain out of which-so-ever self obsessed zone you have currently stored it in. Trust poeple like me, comes in handy sometimes, especcially when trying to fight a losing battle and making redundant points.
And sweety, my worthyness was never determined by you nor your brethren.
Nes, thanx for bringing me uptodate, I will keep a record of that.
hicciup
I don’t know what to say to you woman, I don’t know which planet you came from, but here on earth, when a person is ignoring somone, that means he/she doesn’t wish to talk to him/her. If you want me to be straight up with you, then hear me out:
I do not wish to response to any of your ridiculous remarks, I never stepped on your toes and believe me, I so do not wish to step on yours either. For the next time, refrain your self from butting in people business. If a gentleman is in a conversation with someone else, please keep your beak out of that.
It’s not that hard to understand, its very simple, " MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS"
When, I need your remarks about me, I will let you know, till then keep counting the starz again.
Thank You.
-Salman
BTW I was never in a battle with you, something was bugging you somewhere that you came after me for no reason.
When you start making smart-ass yet slightly stupid comments on a PUBLIC forum, it becomes the business of every anita mohammed and abdul. And all of them are thus free to put in their tuppance (and in my case million dollar) worth.
Consider me the representative of the maybe-but-not-quite-sure sane denomination who reguardless of the former makes some damn good points.
And just so you know, for future use, you know when you don’t want to sound so…salamanderish…its “stars”.
I love you ignoring me, you look so cute whilst hopping on your aching toes.
“There’s always sumthing waiting at the end of the road,if you are not willing to see what it is then, you probably shouldnt be out there in the the first place.”<<current sig
Get inside love, for someone like you, there are more stars in the skies than hours in the days. Not being able to count does have these inevitable drawbacks…
I knew if you slapped an idiot in the face with a wet fish long enough he’d realise that it was indeed a wet haddock in the face. So far as peas go, spare them the agony of your debating skills? And stating the obvious is so…old testiment.
Hiccy ,Salman and Nes -all of you just stop arguing among yourselves.Sheesh the whole thread has turned into a battle field. Now I'll make a smart comment- lets not act like kids.
Now now dont start on me- Im serious, lets all behave.
Re: Muslims and allowable interactions with Kafirs
Yes, it is haraam to love the Kafirs…The Kafirs hold no love for us, they hold no love for the Prophet :saw: and they hold no love for Allah :swt:, so what makes you think that we should snuggle and cuddle up to them? Then of course the fanatic and rabid mod-Musluims will shout “why do you then live among them and why do you have your dealings with them”, well, living among them and having dealings with them is different than loving them…
To deal justly and correctly and live in their midst while being gentle with them and showing them kindness if they are kind to you, by showing forgiveness is what it’s all about, and love doesn’t cut it
And yes, showing love and respect and showing kindness and being just to them are two different things…Unfortunately many Muslims don’t just love the Kafirs but show the Kafirs that they are willing to die for them like their pet dogs…That is the image they give…They never give the Kafir a noble, honourable and just view of the Muslims, but try to present themselves as pets, so that a small pat on the head from a Kafir will please these Muslims…And the Kafirs throw these Muslims a bone after which they do a trick for them…
It’s all image concsiousness…They think by giving the Kafirs a picture of themselves as humble and coyed creatures ready to be tamed, they will fill the hearts of Kafirs with love for them…That is not true…
You start by pleasing the Kafir in one thing, and displeasing Allah :swt: in another, then to give a better image of yourself you give up one more thing, and earning another displeasure of Allah :swt:…They keep doing that until they become clowns of Kafirs to jump up and down and please them while in their effort to please the Kafirs they have displeased Allah :swt:…
If the Muslims were supposed to do the work of Prophets, and the work of Prophets was to please and do everything out of fear and love for Allah :swt:, what do you think these mod-Muslims are doing?
Re: Re: Muslims and allowable interactions with Kafirs
What a shame that some of Jesus’ most righteous teachings in the Bible have been discarded by subsequent scriptures. God is all about love. If He wasn’t, then He would be all about hate. Some of the most selfless teaching by Jesus told us God wanted us to love everyone.
*“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:44-45
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself”
Matthew 22:37-39
“But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27*
Jesus taught that it is God’s will (law) for people to love each other whether we want to or not. It is a lofty ideal and obviously something that most of us don’t do. But it is a noble and benevolent goal that surely God would favor. It seems a step backwards in human and spiritual development to not allow ourselves to love others because of self righteousness.
