This is US domestic Politics topic. Nothing to do with muslims at large. So address this question to US muslims only.

Rest of us don’t give a hoot if he is the messiah of US muslims absolving them of any rightwing political accusations or saving them from any persecution or whatever.

The blame why he is not being supported by muslims in the US , for being Ahmadi or being a marine or whatever squarely falls on them - and no one else.

Exactly why all “Muslims” are asked to give a damn about American domestic issues? Do Americans have any idea about European internal politics and famous internet rebuttals? Yes we know there’s a lunatic running for their Presidential elections who says stupid things everyday - but are what are rest of the Muslims supposed to do and they have so many of their own local issues to worry about? To me this is very much a local American issue - as a British Muslim, I am sorry for not following all cyber fights on internet related to Donald Trump.

For the record, this marine guy was featured in BBC, and there are so many people who followed his tweet and posted their ID cards - yes also covered by BBC news and it is on twitter for everyone to see. But let’s throw a tantrum that why desi uncles and aunties aren’t going gaga about him in their Facebook timeline and blame all “Maawzlumzzzz” for hating Ahamdis - forget the fact an average non desi Muslim doesn’t even know who Ahamdis are since it is predominately a South Asian specific sect just like an average Desi Muslim don’t know how Turkish Alevis differ from mainstream Shia beliefs. Pretty insulting for Desi American Muslims to pass such judgments about their non desi fellow Muslims.
