Unfortunately reality is that Muslims are just as hateful and bigoted as those right wing nuts in this country. And in every Muslim country minorities are treated as 3rd class citizen (Pakistan being prime example). This man should be face of Islam not the jihadi killers.

If he didnt make it a point to refer to 'our messiah' in every answer during his interview, he would have had a broader impact. It did seem like he was self promoting a little bit. But nonetheless, his reply to trump was apt.

I really dont think it has anything to do with the guy being "Ahmedi" muslim. Its just trump's trash talk hasnt caught attention of our desi meme-makers yet :)

If he didnt make it a point to refer to 'our messiah' in every answer during his interview, he would have had a broader impact. It did seem like he was self promoting a little bit. But nonetheless, his reply to trump was apt.
Yeah but I don't know if anyone can blame him for that. With the attacks in Jehlum that just happened...why would he not differentiate? If I was Ahmedi...I would totally want to set myself apart from people who were persecuting me.

I am against what happened in jhelum, but I don't really consider them muslim considering that Mirza was getting "wahees" which would make him and his followers not muslim anymore. Sorry, but facts are facts.

I saw it on Facebook and liked and shared it..had many of my non muslim friends then share it from my timeline on to theirs. I also shared a commentary from The Aga Khan Karim Shah Al Husseini...I may not be a follower of either of the sects but IMO this is the time for all Muslims to show solidarity and rise up to make their voices heard, not judge within our own factions. The world needs to see Islam united for peace, not splintered and fractured amongst ourselves. Let Allah be the judge on who is a true Muslim and who is not...why air our dirty laundry and finger pointing and internal strife and judgments to the rest of the world?

That’s not the issue though is it? Us considering them Muslim has little to do with what Allah swt might consider them…we don’t know how close they are to Allah do we? Meaning if Allah swt can let a non-Muslim into Jannah because of his deeds…then the Ahmadi’s definitely have a chance don’t they? Even if they’re considered non-Muslim by mainstream Muslims.
Christians aren’t Muslim either yet we treat them pretty badly in Pakistan even though they are Pakistani.
I know some Sunnis that are the opposite of what I consider to be Muslim…but since they claim to be Sunni…no one questions their beliefs.
Which leads me to another point…if Islam is indeed a peaceful religion…how come mainstream Muslims are so violently opposed to anyone else in Pakistan and pretty much everywhere? I don’t know of any Ahmadi attacks on Sunnis…just countless happening the other way around. So which Islam is it that is actually instilling morals and peace?
This is not me defending anyone…just looking at things as objectively as possible.

Gulam-Ahmadism or Qadianism is not a sect of ISLAM. ISLAM and Qadianism are two different religions. In the gathering of Prominent and influential muslim leaders, imams, Scholars, in Makkah, the World Muslim League passed a fatwa, declairing them an unbelieving group. It's not about "Judging anyone", it's about consensus. There is a clear consensus among all muslim sects on this Qadiani issue. Having said that, Gulam-Ahmadies should be given equal opportunities, security and all other rights of minorities, there should be no discrimination.

Read my post again. Yes, Gulam-Ahmedies are a “Sect”, but not A “sect of ISLAM”. And they do NOT belong to any larger muslim group, either. That’s what i am saying.

They are a sect of Islam...the fact that you can't understand the simple definition of the word or they Ahemeddiya doctrine is rooted in Islam (no matter how far they have strayed) doesn't change the fact.
Leave the judge, trial, jury and conviction to Allah.

They are declaired non muslims, now they should be given all minority rights. Ahmadism is neither a sect of ISLAM/ judaism/christianity nor is it a school of jurisprudence of these religions. Ahmadism is a separate religion according to the rulling of Makkah counsel and there is consensus among all Sects or fiqas of ISLAM on ths issue. So, Word "Islamic sect" can not be used for them. Does Makkah council trump Allah swt's judgment? Does it represent Allah's judgment of Ahmadis?

Well, they don’t say it now, but ahmedis consider us non-ahmedia kaafirs as well for not believing in the Mirza.
As far as christians going to heaven, allah knows best as there might be exceptions, but then what is the use of islam? Christians already do shirk with the Trinity concept, so that is automatic hell for eternity. As far as attackers go, the laws are there so the police / govt needs to toughen up and put the inciting mullahs and mob into prison for long times. Give death penalty for inciting death.
