Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

I’m not one for getting involved … But here is a video that PCG’s comment made me search on youtube … There are some good points, there are some unusually weird points …

This one is about lipstick …

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Is he trashing lipsticks? That’s ok psyah I still like him. To date, he is the only one who has said MIL’s need limits put on them.

I mean now that’s an extraordinary man.

He also has a good talk on people who pose as Aalims and help you fight jadoo etc. Made me stop going to people for ishtikharas for jadoo and my life actually became normal again.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

No he is not trashing lipsticks … I don’t dislike him … I was merely sharing some videos … I find him a bit like an entertainer. His focus is clearly to be kind and soft … But his motivations are very much rooted in an ideology that I can’t agree with anymore … I can’t accept the idea that “we must tell others what to do”, on the whole we have no authority over others and we should be pre-absorbed in telling ourselves what to do. This is what I follow these days, unless a person asks for the advice … Even then I would respond according to the recipient.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

I think his stance on inlaws was alright considering what crazy things happen in desi families…but he kinda oversimplifies stuff…like he tells you to tell your mother to don’t cross the limits etc…I mean say that to your mum in real life and see what happens!

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Extreme pandering to youtube western young women

“Father why didn’t you marry this woman yourself”

I also take it his audience is not mother in laws, what a new cult he is pushing. They havent even got mother in laws yet

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

You guys are sitting way too high on your pedestals and judging that too people who are formally learned in Islam.

Please post concrete evidence of things he has said that are unIslamic such that you’re calling him a khwarij - a term being used for terrorist Wahhabis these days.

As for the quote from Mogahed on a person’s worth to Allah…you’ve got to be kidding me. All of the Quran is dedicated to showing mankind how much Allah cares for us. Yes, He does value us. Not value as in power. We do not have power that He shares with us. But importance of a soul, that He created the soul, loves it, wants good things for it. So yes He values us in the sense that he cares for us, Guides us, Answers our prayers. Surely this is a love Allah has for His Creation.

Speaking from the standpoint of someone whose friends go to her lectures. To give background, her audience is heavily female and they’re going through all sorts of rough patches so her lectures are often geared towards giving a young muslim woman in the West some hope and solace. For example , my friend is going through divorce and she finds the talks are helpful as therapy, to give the soul encouragement.

I mean If the purpose of this thread is to nitpick a persons comments then call them kaafir then man, my original sentiments for the OP haven’t changed one bit.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

^I see your point but I don’t have to agree with it because personally I don’t feel the same way towards such pieces of advice/wisdom…I never found such motivational speeches of any value. Seeing it coming from muftis is a bit odd to be honest…there’s a bit of celebrity worship going on there. Muftis are supposed to be giving fatwas…not acting like a motivational speaker.

Someone like Nauman Ali Khan…I totally respect him because he gives logical practical advice, not just a play on words.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Btw I don’t think Mufti Menk is kaafir…alright.

Having said that, I’d be very careful when taking advice on religion from someone I don’t fully know. Too many radicals pretending to be people with soft persona these days out there. Next thing we know they’d be calling for jihad and stuff.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Further to the issue i raised earlier, I have a video of a Ahlus Sunnah scholar exposing this entertainer, who makes people laugh around the subject of Ilm of RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam

pakistani link: Hadith on China did the Prophet know china- Hafiz Ehsan Qadiri replies Mufti Ismail Menk

I have since listened to this ‘‘mufti’’ and gained personal differences of opinion with him on fundamental issues, more like caught him outright lying. I cant believe people are following this guy, well i can believe this is happening but its disappointing.

I will In Sha Allah write a post about what i have seen from him which has no input from Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah Scholars. Just my own observations. This should make it easier for others to reply to me, ie they’d just be disagreeing with me rather then respected scholars.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Alright, someone please lock this thread. I didn’t open this thread to diss MM’s personal aqidah…also, I don’t want to hurt the sentiments of his followers who like him for as silly a reason as dissing mothers-in-law. I wanted to analyse his quotes under the light of reason and logic but oh well…I guess this is too much to ask.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

^just lock the damn thread brother…I don’t want PCG be changing her sentiments about me. Right now staying in PCG’s good books is the top priority in my life.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Its not a salaries issue, the guy is shared between deobandis and people in no-mans land. He is not accepted as salafi although he lools like one. The issue ahould not be one of sect anyway, it should be about principle

Its got nothing to do with you hareem. You said you like him, your husband said he does not dislike him
Which leaves me as the only one speaking against him on religious grounds

Me against all you lot, and what i say about his supporters includes you

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

:pullhair: Alright…forget everything I said.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Alright, i’ll start my own thread on him

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Forget it, bro. Please do answer in my thread about dajjal.

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.

Been listening to this mufti of Ahul Bidah. The guy makes gross errors (to put it lightly) every few minutes.

I do not know whether i will have time to point out all his lies, errors and innovation. The following contention is my own, and is gained by directly listening to him as result of this thread rather then it being a contention which Ahlus Sunnah Scholars have brought to light So Feel Free to Defend him if you can

Just wanted to highlight the following point since it is so blatant. It is not necessarily a kufri mistake, but it might be depending on why he was making it or if it was intentional. Meaning I can not call him a kafir for it as a single incidence but Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala might hold him as one for this. There is that possibility, and its a big possibility

Whilst trying to mockingly put down celebration of Mawlid un Nabi SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam, he says:

[mocking tone]
“…you get a shaykh, we had this one shaykh visited us some years ago. and He said, he was talking of [very mocking tone] Mawlid e Rasool Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he said you know wat The Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam when He was born, [very mocking tone] you know Gibreel came to His Mother and told Her, now this is a lie, this is a lie because Gibreel Alaihi salato wa salam comes with revelation to Prophets. [mocking tone] Gibreel told her that you know your Son is going to be a Prophet be careful…”

Now this guys says ‘this is a lie because Gibreel Alaihis Salam comes with revelation to Prophets’, to try to say that it couldn’t be possible for Gibreel Alaihis Salam to tell the good news of a Prophet to come, in this case to the Mother Sayyida Amina Salam Alaiha

The point here is that he negates Gibreel Alaihis Salam does this

However even a layman like myself knows that Angels often do this. Gibreel Alaihis Salam has done this. I do not know if all Prophets received this, but it is pretty normal, and standard protocol for Prophets to be introduced before they are born to their parent [specifically Mother] by Angels

The possible issues from what he said are: 1) denial that Angels speak to non Prophets, Mothers of Prophets specifically 2) denial that Angels inform Mothers of Prophetic Births
It does not matter which because Both are answered in the Quran:

ismail menk in his greed to lie has denied many Quran Ayats

[Maryam 19:16] And remember Maryam in the Book; when she went away from her family to a place towards east.
[Maryam 19:17] So there she screened herself from them; We therefore sent Our Spirit towards her - he appeared before her in the form of a healthy man. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.)
[Maryam 19:18] She said, “I seek the refuge of the Most Gracious from you - if you fear God.”
**[Maryam 19:19] He said, “I am indeed one sent by your Lord; so that I may give you a chaste son.” **

and

[Hud 11:69] And indeed Our angels came to Ibrahim with glad tidings - they said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace” and without delay brought a roasted calf.
[Hud 11:70] And when he saw their hands not reaching towards it, he thought they were pretending and inwardly started fearing them; they said, “Do not be afraid - we are sent to the people of Lut.”
[Hud 11:71] And his wife was standing by and she started laughing , so We gave her glad tidings regarding Ishaq, and following Ishaq, regarding Yaqub. ( She was glad that the disbelieving people of Lut would be destroyed. ** The birth of these two.)
[Hud 11:72] She said, “Oh woe to me - will I bear a child whereas I am an old woman, and this my husband, is an old man? This is something really extraordinary.”**
[Hud 11:73] The angels said, “Do you wonder at the command of Allah? Allah’s mercy and His blessings be upon you, O people of this house; indeed He only is Most Praiseworthy, Most Honourable.”

translation from: Al-Quran with Kanzul Iman Translation

there is other occasions where this has happened, but the two above should suffice to refute him.

“MM” … :vivo:
