Do share what you deem as kufriya video and dont back off like you always do.
May ALLAH accept his good deed and make his stead fast on haq. Ameen

Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
i will In Sha Allah
However what do you mean by “like you always do”?
Sounds like you got a list of occasions i have backed off on
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Not really a big listener of his lectures. I do sometimes see some of his comments on Facebook. Seems like a nice guy. Don’t know what he is ie sunni, shia, etc but he is doing dawah and may Allah help him in his work and keep him steadfast on the straight path and if he makes a mistake in his dawah may Allah forgive him and us. Yasmin Mogahed is too… Mushy for me. I like some of her comments but most are too much about love and a bit confusing. Like the value to our creator one. Allah doesn’t need us we need Him so a bit confused about what she means.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Peace,
Agree/disagree will always be there. What we like we may take that and what we don’t like we may leave that. Nobody forcing us in anyway :).
Here is the short story of Mufti Menk to know who is he ![]()
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
He thought he was dirty and Medina was kicking him out, The guy proved Medina wrong
what a heretic, that’s not the way the purity of Medina should be honoured
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Interesting how the soft Salafis got their panties in a twist over mufti menk.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Of course. I haven’t come across him before (but then I don’t actively involve myself with religion a lot).
I have a fear of televangelists. It really puts me off the way they superficially dress, put make-up on and talk and from what I have seen so far of him, he’s begging to go into that category. Anyways, I can’t judge unless I’ve heard him enough.
Thanks though.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
I’ve only watched a few of his lectures; haven’t detected anything objectionable. Sometimes we need reminders and it’s so easy to get carried away and to forget even the most obvious of teachings. I did start watching his series on the Seerah of the Prophet SAWS…and I enjoyed it though I have yet to complete it. From the scholars, I have a lot of respect for Nouman Ali Khan and Hamza Yusuf. I enjoy their lectures, but people have complaints about them too. In one lecture NAK had said that some hater likened him to Dajjal. ![]()
I admit that there are some scholars that I like more than others. But if someone has earned the credentials of being a mufti or a shaykh, then I’d hesitate to use really harsh words for them. Maybe he/she needs to improve upon their method of delivery, but if they dedicated hours and years of their time toward learning the deen whereas I spent that time doing more futile things…then that’s commendable.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
funny that Bao likes your post…earlier he was calling a shaykh he doesn’t agree with idiot and deviant. Hypocrisy much?
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
“In life, we often have to walk the path of thorns to find a rose. Always keep your eyes open.”
These two sentences are being forcefully put together.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
We’re all hypocrites to an extent, Reems. ![]()
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Yeah but some of us are more hypocrites than others. Look I went all George Orwell on you there. ![]()
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
True. Maybe I am among those folks. Even the lesser hypocrites among us will be “more” hypocritical than some other person …over some issue or another. ![]()
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
I was actually expecting an answer for my question regarding backing off
@others
What do you think about his statement that he was going to prove Medina wrong? If Medina was kicking him out due its purity then he should have respected Medina and bent himself to it, but he was going to prove it wrong. Which is a statement of conflict with its purity
I’d expect a Sunni to bend himself to Medina. The Sunni would respect Medina over himself, and purify themselves for Medina to accept them, but he says he will prove Medina wrong, which is the wrong side of conformity
In Sha Allah you have all heard at least once in your lifetimes how Much Love Muslims have had for Medina. The above view is trampling on its sanctity
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Anyone who conforms to the najdiyyah movement, like menk does - is at least a mubtadi [bidatti] because it is a new found sect, a khawarij, and horn of satan
All in all this person, chaps, is a walking talking caller to hellfire
Menk being a caller to hellfire is my own personal view.
We can look at him in one of two ways. Either I can offer a polemical view of him, and those that want to defend him can offer me likewise a reply, or we can ‘discuss’ these matters slowly in a civil manner
from among the issues, Sunnis have highlighted against him is
Issue 1 -Making audience laugh at the ilm of RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam
he attributes knowledge of the existence of china to a narrator and negates it for RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam, and makes his audience laugh by saying RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam didn’t even know the Chinese at the time.
His audience was under the spell of kufr too, and he was happy with that
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
That assumption does contradict with Rumi’s When everything seems to oppose you
And who knows what’s inside their hearts? after all you judge people by looking at their actions not with assumptions. The last sentence of first quote that says do what is right is the check, IMO.
Ok. You can relate Rumi’s quote to some ayah, but it could be your own understanding. Infact, unlike first quote, Rumi’s quote does not require you to know what you do is right or wrong.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
He is the only one I’ve heard who has put mother in laws in their place.
I like him.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
I like everything I’ve heard from him so far as well.
Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
Look there is whole new breed of Islamic scholars or personalities who are preaching or doing dawah online. This is their job. They make a living from the content they put online and thru speaking engagements. Most are qualified and serving the community. Now the question of whether they are sincere to Allah and if they are good people and good Muslims Allah alone knows. It’s best if we reserve judgement for Allah (Swt) alone. It honestly is very difficult to judge the sincerity of many of these folks. Many of the have huge following and cast a spell. But remember it’s not the messenger who is necessarily worth it’s the message of Allah. These folks just have a talent for presenting it in an appealing way.
Re: Mufti Menk gets on to my nerves.
But what about his religious stance?
Should you like a scholar for they’re aptitude in whatever they teach/preach?
