Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

I am shocked to read how many people have lost loved ones to crime in pakistan,

But am not really suprised at the little help the pakistani goverment gives to the families tht have lost loved ones, Rabia I am very sorry to hear about ur Father (May Allah grant him jannat.... Ameen) im sure it must of been very hard for u an ur family. you mentioned u had ur Nani and mamu's help, so I guess u was lucky then some...:)

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

^Ameen to ur Dua, and yes i m very lucky that i had their help.

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

sigh ..same discussion again and again ...

Look people my personal experience: I born in NY raised in Pakistan. Even though i came back for further studies, have a good job, education, career .. you can call it American dream. But unfortunately this is not my world. I am happy only IN Pak.. .. in those gali/mohalla's traveling in Rikshaws or on Khota Rehri's or ching chie's.. No matter what accomplishments i can have in west... my heart, my mind .. its not with me. I can't explain it why is that? .. Nope no gf, no alcoholism help.. all the good things in America didn't help..

their should be millions of people who might have same feelings like me... so this is never ending discussion. let live let them live !...

...and on problems in Pakistan ...

"..is duniya mein abhi aesey bohat sey loog majood hain, jin ki ankhein Pakistan ka name sun kar bheeg jatin hain .. jub tuk un mien sey ik bi zinda hai.. Pakistan ko kuch nahi ho sakta.. chahey jesi merzi maseebatein ayein.."..

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

^^ **I am too bored of this topic being discussed again and again.

banda poochai in Auntio sai , if you want to live as 3rd class citizens in US/UK then live, why waste our time here.Who even at the least care about security, handi roti ,raising kids ,cleaning houses blah blah.Same rand* rona sun sun kar kaan puk gai hai. They consider themselves princess/queens here but suddenly start doing work abroad.Security crimes flana tamkeena.Crimes not happened in West !.When treated as 3rd class citizens then auqat yaad aa jati hai. Go the hell

: From me end:**

This is not an issue, this is totally wrong we are living here as 3rd class citizens, most of Pakistan's are living as third class in Pakistan. Broader your horizon's please.

You are right on everyone work here.. Taxi's hotels.. ...etc.. .but in Pak they can't. It can be mentality or what so ever. But this is their !

But i know.. whenever i move to Pak.. money/work will be not an issue for me. I can even start a "biryani rehri" .... i am fine.. .with it.. !

I wonder if you held your bleeding child in your hands in gali/mohallas - you would feel differently.

You are too young to understand.

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

.

Yeh way to young... but for your kind information i am all alone here. Rest of the family is in Pak. and they are 10 thousand times better then most of the Americans. So next time don't make assumptions !

12% of american population is under poverty line, now tell me what do you know about USA? I don't wanna start on what's wrong here. For the starting ..in most of the areas in NY people do shyt in their pants when they go after 12am ..

Is ur heart in pakistan becoz the rest of ur family is in pak?

how about if all ur family was with u in the usa, would u still miss pak?

^ what are u talking abt...thats the case in pakistan and even in some other muslim countries where pakistani are treated 3rd class...not here in US.
open ur eyes n wake up PLEASE!...maybe ur boredom frm this topic is making u not c things clearly.

what percent of pakistani population is uner poverty line???????????

Family members visit America like going to Lahore from Faisalabad. Again... i said in the previous reply stop assuming, i am more American/western then you can even imagine... but still this is not my world. Rather a one more visiting country like Turkey, Italy or Uk..

Are we comparing US VS Pakistan or Pakistan VS US?? ..

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

You didn't get my point firenze. I was suggesting that when you become a father or mother you may change your mind.

Your parents sacrificed for you didn't they? They send their child into a country all alone. This must be the hardest thing for them.

They did it because they love you more and sometimes with that love comes sacrifice. No love stands up to the love of your child - not even for your country.

Parents do everything in their power to protect their children.

Most families in U.S left their soil they love, their parents, their relatives for their children. It's was really hard for them.

Visiting and living is two different thing, u didn't answer my question....

kair, Its very good tht u intend to go back to pak, and give back to ur country,

Good luck to ya...

^^ i m going to assume something abt u n ur family...frm the information u provided above....they travel to America like its nothing---i m assuming frm this that u guys are mA well of.
and if yes thn that one of the reason u love pakistan so much. start living a poor persons life over there and thn talk.

^i didn't start that...u mention the poverty of US so i wanted to knw what the poverty line in Pakistan--just wanted to knw.

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

Somebody once told me to live a good life in pakistan, u need to have money....

The rich are very rich and the poor are very poor

Very True! Rightly said so!

And you know the most wierd thing is, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening day by day and God knows where will it stop!

Re: Motives for Leaving Pakistan--split from Proud Pakistani

^^ It will stop at Barclay ,CITI,Bank of America,Chrysler,GM,Ford,Starbuck,Circiut city ,Pfizer,Boeing,Nasdaq,Dow,Caterpillar,Macy,Morgan Stanley,Goldman Sachs,Home Depot,AOL, Sprint Nextel etc etc

Again you are assuming, how did you know that parents send me happily .. happily ?

I got call from Ami/Daddy every single day.. when i am coming back. Before my point was i am going for education .. but now i am doing job. So.. anyway this is not even an issue. I know what is American Culture, and i know what is my Culture. Isn't that not enough?

Its all about love for your country, if Abraham Lincoln runaway after seeing too much problems, then you and me won't be sitting here. Pakistan is very young country compare to US/Europe. 60 years hardly.. give us some time !
