Re: Embarrassing Moments

Well, here is one of many.

I was in hostel and exams were going on. When we used to go to toilet we would take our soap with us. That day soap was lying just beside a small alarm clock, i got up to go to toilet and instead of picking the soap i picked up this alarm clock and with book in my other hand and my eyes on the book i walked thru the corridor to the toilets and only realized when i put the alarm clock on the shank. Couple of guys were there and they noticed and were laughing their guts out.

Re: Embarrassing Moments

This one happened not too long ago:

I was in my room working on something. It was like 12:30 at night. I went to the kitchen to get some coke to drink but there was none left. NOOOO!!!:frusty: Anyhow, so I decided to just go down and buy one from the vending machine. Since everyone in my house was asleep, I did not wanna turn on the lights. So I just wore the ‘chappal’ by the door in darkness and went down. As I was standing by the elevator with a bottle of coke in my hand waiting for the elevator to come down, there was a family who came from outside (most probably from a party or something). They came in, looked at me, gave me a smile, and said “Hello”. I replied back by saying “Hi, How are you?”. So they said “Fine, but are you ok?”. I didn’t know what they meant by that but I said “Yes”. So we got in the elevator.

While in the elevator, the father looked at me and said “You are a very colorful person!”. I first thought for a moment. I didn’t know what he was trying to say but then I thought maybe he meant that I have a very colorful life that I come down to buy coke even at this hour of the night:p. I said “Thank You, shouldn’t we all be?” So he laughed and said “why not”. When their floor came, the father smiled again and said “Ok, take care”. I also replied “Ok, you take care also”. So now I am alone in the elevator and suddenly when I look down, I see that due to darkness in my house, I wore 2 different ‘chappals’. Meaning they were for the right foot but I wore ‘1 of each from different pair’. I am like “Dammit. So thats why he said all that what he said”. I was like so embarrassed. I just thanked God that they were the only family in the building who saw me. I mean if it was during daytime, you can imagine how many ppl would’ve seen me.

Re: Most Embarrassing Moments

This one happened awhile ago:

I was doing some work when some-one came over to my house to talk to my mom about something. At that point, I was dead tired and just wanted to relax. This person always holds you up when you talk (no matter who you are) and always asks you questions on top of more questions. You know what I mean]. So I went to the other room with the intention to say salam to this person and come back to sleep or something. I went to the other room to say salam. And in order to avoid too much talking (so that I can come back early), I also took the phone with me and pretended like I was using the phone. When I left my room, I had phone next to my right ear as if I was talking. I went in the same condition to say salam so that this person thinks I am busy using the phone. As soon as I went, said salam and turned around to leave, THE PHONE RANG. I was like Sh**. I pressed 'On' on the first bell and pressed 'off' right away. I was so embarrassed. I turned around to see the look on that person's face in order to see how high the level of 'Embarrass-o-Meter' was but the good thing is that as soon as I turned around to see that person, their cell phone also rang. I was like YESSS......Their cell phone rang like (I would say) about 8 seconds after my phone rang. So luckily, not much attention came my way. In fact, I think that person didn't even pay attention to the first bell since I hung up the phone b4 the first bell even completed.

PS - Never ever try this at home. If you have some other method, use that. If the phone rings in the middle, it will bring you nothing but embarrassment (unless that person's phone rings at the same time :D).

Re: Most Embarrassing Moments

i was studying engg when I came back home for my vacation...life in hostel was like any other hostel with abuses right on the tip of the tongue..where every sentence was punctuated with maa, behen ki gaalies

at home I was a epitome of sharaafat...so at home in vacation - my mom had invited couple of families over for dinner on some festival...there were 4 kids ( noisiest of the noisiest ones) suddenly theres a power cut and its pitch dark - the kids started howling bhoot bhoot bhoot...
one of them crept on to me and yelled bhoot in my ears...i was startled and shoved him off and said 'bhoot ki m** ka ch***

when the power was restored in few mins - everybody was staring at me...my mom and pop ( in addition to me) were dead embarassed
needless to say that was the end of my sharafaat ka image at home..

:)

Re: Most Embarrassing Moments

Oh this one happened with one of my south indian friends. He was so simple and humble. His first time in USA as a student. We were at a friends house and he needed to go. So he asked our friend where is the restroom. Our friend pointed him in the direction and he he just dashed right to it. A couple of minutes later we heard him knocking on the door. We went over to see what was the matter. We inquired, and he asked "Hey! Where do I throw the tissue paper?" .....
