Congrats to all the mommies and mom’s to be! Inshallah may Allah bless all of us with happy, healthy, beautiful and kind hearted children!

I’m 28 weeks and due end of Oct - so less than 3 months to go! I struggled to get pregnant for quite some time and feel so lucky to even be pregnant at all. Pregnancy and children are something we should never take for granted. It’s truly a miracle and it is all from Allah. I feel SO incredibly lucky and thankful to have made it this far. Inshallah Allah continues to protect our babies and give us the most wonderful gift anyone could ever ask for - a healthy happy baby.

Also, let’s pray for those girls still trying to conceive. I honestly wish ALL the gs girls currently trying to conceive will get their miracle very soon! Take it from someone who knows what its like to WANT it so bad but receive disappointment month after month. I truly know Allah has a plan for everyone. When the time is right for you, you will be a mother! After all, Allah knows best. Always have faith because Allah is so merciful!

Its cool. I have a question for GS mommas.

How do the movements feel, basically, the initial ones, like pangs, contractions, or pinch?

(well this is what I have been feeling in the lower abdomen lately… so just wondering…)

Mine kind of felt like a bubble of gas rolling around in my lower tummy. Now though, omg, he’s so active and everyone can see him do his somersaults and kicks and punches. It’s awkward with people around lol. You’ll feel more solid movements in your 6th and 7th month…best way to feel movement is drink something sweet and then lie down straight on your back and lay still for a while, you’re bound to feel a flutter then =]

I’m 11 weeks pregnant of my second child. My daughter is Mashallah 10 months old now. I’m happy with this pregnancy although is was totally unplanned. I’m having a though time coz I got the disease of Hashimoto. So I’m tired all the time. The doctor told me that I’ll feel much better after some weeks. Further I di not have any pregnancy symptoms…Please pray for me that everything will be fine with my baby… I’m due 23 feb 2013

Awww thanks you cupcake. I will def keep you girls in my duas.

I got pregnant 2.5 years after marriage. We were only trying for the last 13 months before I got pregnant though. But before that we were “waiting to try” because I had some health issues I had to take care of before I could even try. Even though we only tried for slightly over a year, it felt much longer because I had to put my trying to conceive plans on hold for quite some time.

Alright, I have a thought, to make this thread more productive and helpful, we will pick topics and bring on our experiences like wise. It will be equally constructive and helpful if other mothers, who may happen to click open the thread, that instead of a silent reader, they may also bring in their expereinces and suggestions, because the first time mothers always need this.

If agree then please pick any topic for the time being to discuss. Could be anything like your OB visits to your daily diet chart.

After how many months did you conceive?

I cannot really tell how many months exactly. We do not live together so couldnt live more than 2.5 months each time we live together. This time he just came and whaam. But well we saw a doctor, even though I conceived the very same week, but alhamdolillah Allah blessed us. I think it was more with duas than being together or trying or the doctor. Thats why I said, prayers do the miracle actually.
