because, one of the scholar at mosque was giving lecture on whole minan biwi and labor thing. he advised to all husbands to hold the hand of their spouses during labor. He was explaining the pain of the process, and this holding hand thing will not make her pain less but increase his wife’s confidence that her husband is with her at this difficult time.
Wendy ninja told you about what happens at the govt hospitals. Things in pvt hospitals and clinics are comparatively better. Reason is the same, Jitna gurh utna meetha :hinna:
I dont know I think sub continent doctors/medical staff have some problem seriously. When I was in Jeddah, I got to deal with the medical staff two tmes (dont really want to tell they were pakistani or indian )
So first I went for the ultrasound to a ultrasound specialist. And she was one such RUDE lady. You wouldnt imagine.
And next time I had to see a doctor at outdoor in a clinic there, when my toe nail got hurt. I dont know if its a general practice there, but the doctor pulled my nail and that too without any anesthesia or anything it was deadly painful. And when he was done. He left and sent his nurse to bandage and she, the nurse, dabbed the wound with cotton ball in such a wild and inhuman manner that i had to jump and tell her off. And guess what, that lady left the room all annoyed (only because I just asked her to be tender and slow) and then the doctor himself had to come and do bandage. And this is not from some ordinary clinic.
I would say I havent been dealt with this rude and inhuman behaviour even in the clinics or hospitals of pakistan, Jeddah being an international city where obviously much money is spent in order to ensure the standards. So nothing is wrong basically, other than this desiness of mentality and behaviour of the medical staff. They are just butchers.
Forgot to add, next time I went for the bandage to another clinic, where a Philippinian nurse did the bandage this time. And she was really tender and caring. :hinna:
With time i hope it will change....if one is privileged then the person can opt for private hospitals...which give quality service...
That's the thing. Majority of the people would never be able to afford private care.
I hope this changes. That's no way of treating people .. it's crazy!!
I went to a medical center to give birth .. they don't have as many patients as hospitals do and therefore can give you better care. But even hospitals have very nice staff with people who actually care. But I guess they have to or else they'd just get sued :D
i think husband is not allowed in pakistan during delivery.....
my cousins had only doctor n nurse with them....
n their moms were waiting outside the d.room...
Ma sha Allah STA ko to maulvion ki baato ne hi boht samajhdaar bana diya hai I dont know what the husbands are doing when such things are told in the khutbaat. Snoring I guess
But does that really matter anyway? I mean, are you really in your senses enough to see whether your husband is there or not My mom doesnt want to be there with me when my time comes she thinks it will be too upsetting for her so she might better stay back at home and pray. But well I have no one else to be with, so ofcourse in sha Allah she and her prayers will be with me all along.
^my husband was a great support for me throughtout my labor n delivery he was with me....it does make a difference coz if ur husband is there for u,you r kind of sharing ur pain with him....:)
yes and you get to complain to them .. it’s a little harder to complain to the nurses hehe
My husband was very supportive .. he got me Popsicles when ever I wanted bless him
^exactly! there is this nurse who was shouting n my eardrums were vibrating lol....
she was soooo irritating...i just wanted to say "SHUTUP" to her but i didnt lol
My nurses were so niceee .. I still remember each and every one of them. I was in the hospital for almost 24 hours so I went through a lot of nurses. The last one, the one who was helping the doctor with the delivery … bless her she was such an encouraging and sweet lady As I said before .. I think I even kicked her, accidentally, and she just laughed it off lol
this reminds me, yesterday someone suggests a few droughts of kaccha doodh for heart burn and stuff. I tried and it did help. Ofcourse I know you cant get that living abroad. Or maybe you can.
