i mean that a dating scan is most accurate in predicting the due date from week 8 to week 12. So roughly go for one then

I saw the cutest baby on the bus today @_@
He was SO happy!!!
everybody on the bus just smiled because he was so cute and giggling.

I really do think babies just brighten your day :) so mamas actively go out so you can put a smile on other peoples face~

Did anyone post about Babycenter yet? =/ For the newly pregnant ones - it’s an AWESOME website. Any question you have is answered and it’s just so informative and easy to use… plus, the weekly updates are so awesome and it’s fun to think about how big your baby is each week =]

hi everyone, i'm 7 weeks and the morning sickness has taken over my life... i cant eat anything, everything is making me sick i'm vomiting like crazy. even water seems to make to make me sick. the only time i can eat is dinner but thats probably because i'm hungry and tired by then. i cant even stand going to the kitchen coz of the smell of food and just the thought of food or eating makes me want to throw up. is this normal?

i hardly eat anything all day and when i do i throw up anyways. isnt this harmful for the baby? i've tried taking juices and fruits but thats not working either. not just this i dont feel like doing anything. the house is a mess coz i just cant get my self to do anything... i start crying for no reason at all... the mr. takes me out to make me feel better and i just want to go back home!!! its driving me crazy... no one in my family has had these issues in fact my mum and sisters never had any vomiting or felt sick at all

it started rite after my first appointment when my doc prescribed folic acid... could it be because of the folic acid?

There is a correlation between folic acid and morning sickness as reported by many pregnant women though science does not explain it.***

A simple remedy is taking folic acid at night instead of in the morning. (Don't worry this will not turn into nighttime sickness).***

If you have a deficiency of folate that can also be a reason for extreme morning sickness so please make sure you are having at least 400mcg of folic acid. I took 500mcg folic acid daily in my first trimester.

As for the morning sickness, do nibble on something THE INSTANT you wake up. Ginger biscuits come highly recommended, even salty chips, or what I did was lemon drops candy. Do this the moment you wake up and don't drink water or anything until you have done this. This will DEFINITELY help. Give it a shot.

  1. Take a high-carbohydrate diet that contains baked potato, steamed rice, honey, dry toast, banana.Try to take ginger biscuits, ginger tea or dry nuts** before you start the day**. Prepare ginger tea by boiling ginger in water, strain and serve hot with honey. Candied ginger may also help relieve your morning sickness.

  2. Try to take water or sweet juices in the morning, but only after breakfast because empty stomach can affect blood sugar levels and causes extreme vomiting. Drink lots of water during the day to stay away from dehydration. Drink fluids** 30 minutes before or after your meals, but not along with meals.**

  3. Stay away from *fatty as well as spicy foods and strong smells.

  4. Also, **take plenty of rest **and naps throughout the day. Even practice physical exercises to reduce the symptom.

thx for the reply... i've been taking folic acid after dinner from day one and its 500mcg. i'm trying to do all those things you listed but its difficult to eat anything when you've just vomited or being around food is making me sick. i'm having proper dinner though and during the day i try to eat or drink whatever i'm able to stomach that day... it keeps changing one day i'm able to eat smth and the next day i cant stand it.

i joined babycenter and parents.com when i was pregnant and still i get lots of information every week (through email)about my baby's development and milestones etc.....

**Alright so Mommies, I have a question: Were/are you suggested to eat something special to eat during your pregnancy for so and so reasons? Like some people say eating almonds makes the baby fair and wide eyed :blush: and so on. Of course Milk and Fruits/juices are advantegeos. But what, other than that? please share.

I have been suggested to drink narial pani and eat the fresh coconut too. Were anyone of you suggested the same too? and why?

I guess I will have a lots of fish in winters but well wont that be too late for the baby’s brain development? :hmmm:

Badaams, only three? and how? like soaking in the water over night and first thing in the morning thingy?

its ok u can start taking fish from next month weather will be a bit cold by then…

i was eating badaam in morning before making breakfast…still i have this habit lol…and i didnt soak them…

and desi ghee was reccommended by family waaliyaan in last month i dont know if it is helpful or not…but it really helps in gaining weight:naraz:
