oh God, the sore nipples makes me cry just thinking about it!
i also came across my birth plan on my phone the other day- it was made from notes based on our prenatal classes. what a joke that was! ahahahaha. oh, how naive first time mums are, myself included.
I did however experience a lot of pain in the sides of my upper thighs. The pain was unbearable and I couldn't even walk
OMG, me too! the right side of my right leg, from hip to knee was always numb, except for when it would hurt. and some days, i couldn't even stand long enough to fry an egg because there was this intense burning pain that would start up. that area is still numb sometimes these days, but not all the time, thank God. i was going to a RMT for regular massages towards the end and she said it was caused by a pinched nerve because it was trapped under the uterus. i was also carrying a big baby so maybe that was it too.
So moms, did anyone of you ever suffer from this numbing pain in your wrist? I feel this sometimes, in either of the arms, and it makes everything so difficult for me. Even if I am not doing anything, the pain becomes unbearable. I dont know maybe my arm and wrist were under my body something while sleeping or what. But its very painful. Can anybody relate?
hrm, all i can think of is carpal tunnel syndrome. do you type a lot?
Mirage, deep heat muscle spray. red bottle. get from any pharmacy and spray on
read the instructions first to make sure you can use it during pregnancy. i know there are a couple of brands of deep heat type products that you cannot use while pregnant because they contain too much pain relief and it gets absorbed into your skin. i remember having to look it up when my mom would give me back massages in the third trimi.
^lol sure it is.. it brought back so many memories.. the pains, the aches, the excitement.. eeek!!!
and I just saw your comment about the birth plan.. oh my god, remember how I opened a thread to actually draft one? well, at the end, i put a small note saying if the c section is required, please give me and my husband a moment to talk about it.. hahahaha what a joke, the ob came in, told my husband to change into scrubs and said to me, “we are taking you for csection before it’s too late” and I said, “it is what it is”
from what I am told, (not by my mom ofcourse) deliveries were easier. they would just work and work till the date and drink desi ghee with sugar, and walk and walk and sometimes would deliver just as it is.

i think they must be talkin about 2nd,3rd n so on deliveries...
i am the second baby n my mom said i got delivered in just 10 minutes....n first time was like hours n hours of pushing.....
plus they dont get stitches after tearing....so the next deliveries were easy....
Heartburn!!! Ugh .. had the worst heartburn with my first. I would wake up in the middle of the night and cry! Seriouslyy lol.
What I did like about the 3rd trimester was all the special treatment I was receiving

my khala is a senior gynaecologist of 20 years, she told me that deep heat can be used or any LOCAL cream. Iodex as well!
Like people treating you like a princess, opening doors for you, telling u how good you look even though you look like a hot air balloon And how you get regular foot malishes from the hubby
my baby boy is alhamdulilah a week old today. we had aimed for a regular delivery but ended up having a c-section after almost 16 hours in active labor. Parenthood is quite challanging especially if you are a first time parent nd it is easy to blame oneself on every little/bigthing but alhamdulilah, every timei look at my little one, i cant thank Allah enough for our little bundle of joy, such a blessing. alhamdulilah. oh and we have named hi yousuf. :)

I was told the same thing... IT IS A LIE. I was active in my second pregnancy, i gained only 9 kilos that I lost 3 weeks after having baby and I not only kept active with a toddler I also entertained guests from my 36th week to my 39th week. I was 4 cm dilated before my 40th week but at 8cm after pushing and one week overdue I had to undergo emergency c-section. I still get teary eyed when I think of the pain afterwards from the c-section. But Alhamdulillah a million times over that my baby is healthy and my baby was not harmed.
Lusi, you were so missed. Thanks for telling already what I wanted to ask i.e. how did the delivery go. Was it your first? C-sections are always difficult and painful. But well thats what becoming a mother requires one of. And I hope you are recovering fast.
