Jokes aside, Miandad is one of the greatest players we produced. He scored 6 test double hundreds, against the top nodge bowling attacks. We need committed individuals like to him, to make a change. So what, if he is bad in public or media relationship.
^ How many times should he be given a chance? Just like Imran is a failed politician, Miandad is a failed captain/coach/chief. Both of them were great when playing cricket, not that great afterwards.

***IS HE...?? WE HAVE BAD MEMORY!! THEN :)
I THOUGHT HE WAS KNOWN AS A "FOX" & HAVING KNOWN HIM VERY VERY CLOSELY SINCE 1980....I CAN BET HE STILL IS...AND I WILL NOT BUY THAT ONE HAS TO KNOW ENGLISH TO BE A SMART CHIEF, COACH OR A LEADER!
JAVED MIANDAD CAN SELL THE AUSTRALIAN TEAM--THAT THEY WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW....!!!
A CERTAIN SECTION HAS NEVER LIKED JM FOR HIS QUALITIES...!!
Raju Uncle, Why would appointment of AS be so bad?
I was in favor of keeping him in his PCB position in 2003, yeah he is very opinionated and like to get thing done his way, but at least he makes an effort to get things done. Unlike the pipe sipping, suite wearing dummies that PCB has had over several year for several of its position.
In 2003, it was reported that he is getting too involved in team selection and even coaching of players and he was eventually sacked/removed from his PCB duties. To me it was a bad move, as no matter how he was going about cricketing matters, the end result was that team was winning and by removing him they tried to fix something that was not broken and the result was a slide of Pak cricket.

Both were great in cricket, but what Imran is into these days, got nothing to do with cricket. JM is a different story. I don't know why he failed at captain/coach/chief level, but he seems to make a lot of sense if you hear him speak. I have no doubt that he is brilliant at all things cricket.

If he was brilliant at all things cricket - than he shouldn't have failed / flopped as a coach.
How many times has there been discussions to the fact that good players don't always make good coaches. This is not just in cricket but happens in other sports. Big mouth Javed is an example of this.
Some one like Rameez Raja would have been better suited for this type of role.
Time will tell if Javed will be make any difference, may be he will take Pakistan cricket from strength to strength and follow in the foot steps of politians / generals who have made Islamic Republic of Pakistan very prosperous .....................

I dont think he ever failed as coach, he always was made to let go as Captain, MGMT and PCB did not wanta strong headed coach in side who was willing to step on toes of these people to get the best out of team
