“O humankind We [God] have created you male and female, and made you into communities and tribes, so that you may know one another. Surely the noblest amongst you in the sight of God is the most godfearing of you. God is All-knowing and All-Aware” (Quran 49:13).

004.075 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!"
re: Merged: Quranic verse that had a profound impact on you
Basit thank you. This is beautiful. I have read this one before.
Also, there is another which says something like, “Do not doubt those who follow the Jewish and Christain scriptures.”
What I understand from the above is that, are all of us so perfect in the understanding of Quran that we question Jewish/Christian’s way of following their scriptures? We are supposed to believe in, respect the older scriptures and their followers. They were blessed far before muslims did.
We must not question what they do. Questioning how they follow and practise their faith does no good but creates complications and hatred for the other out of pure IGNORANCE. Even a perfect muslim. A PERFECT muslim who follows every single teaching from the Quran has absolutely NO RIGHT no question the old scriptures and their followers. Those who do, I would think that they have too much time on their hands and too much energy to create problems for the rest of the followers (muslims/Christians/jews). YOU IDIOTS!!! Learn to love in peace and learn to really respect the old scripture as has been taught by the Quran.
I hope someone can post that verse which says, “Do not doubt/question them” (something like that).

2:177. It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in Allah and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the Allah.fearing.

Thank you. Thank you very much. My mom gave me the same lesson and I used to tell her she was teaching me that out of her weakness and she always denied that accusation. Look now I am here and I say this that being firm and patient is not weakness. It is a sensible way of life. It gives you more strength. It is an experience to make you stronger.

62:9 O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew!
**62:10 **And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah. and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper.

4:34 Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them Means (of annoyance): For Allah is Most High, great (above you all).

my favourite. this is the first Surah that i read and truly understood the meaning of. the Imam at my Masjid used to make me read it over and over and over again in Arabic, Urdu and English so i could understand its meaning before he let me start reading the Quran Majeed. he said to me “this Surah contains in its few verses the basic contents of the entire Quran.” it was this Surah that kicked off the ‘reIslamising’ of my home citys youth and ‘strayed’ Muslims.

salam-o-alaikum
ofcourse, reading Quran, every verse of Quran is best for us Muslims but yet there are particular ones that as time goes we get attach to them.
my one of the fav ayat of quran is: RABBI ZIDINI ILMA' (from surah TA'HA).
Since i have been in university and after getting into med school, this particular verse helped me a lot. ALways read b4 studying and also one of the verse (in surah TA'HA) is: RABBI ISHRAH LI SADRI WA YASSER LI WA AMRI, this particular verse was a DUA from Prophet Moses to Allah b4 going to Pharoh and reading this verse b4 talking to someone gives u strength and from Allah (s.w.t) the listener is able to understand what u r trying to say...
personal experience: i had to do presentation in one of my class infront of 80 students and i was so nervous about it for 2 days, but the day i had to present i read this verse b4 my presentation and Alhamdullilah my presentation turn out to be the second best presentation in class! My point is please do read this verse:)

From Surah Ta-Ha
020.025 Qala rabbi ishrah lee sadree
(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast;
020.026 Wayassir lee amree
"Ease my task for me;
020.027 Waohlul AAuqdatan min lisanee
"And remove the impediment from my speech,
020.028 Yafqahoo qaelee
“So they may understand what I say”

“Say: O ‘Ibaadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allaah, verily, Allaah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful”[al-Zumar 39:53]
I find the preceding to be a very powerful. This is one of the verses that keeps me going and helps me stay motivated. May Allah (SWT) forgive us all, guide us all to the straight path and keep us steadfast on it, ameen.
