This was the menu for the iftaar party i went to tonight..
Spaghetti, rice, khatti daal (hyderabadi style), aloo gosht korma, and fruit custard.
the menu was very simple (in a good way) and everything was deliciousss!

Courgette sabzi (courgettes courtesy of dad's garden)

Boiled rice

how u guys get all things prepared before roza so that all things remain hot specially iftaar things…actually i hav n aftari dis weekend but i dont have ny help nd iftari is for 6 adults nd kids…its my first time after marriage to do all by my own…could u guys tell me wot menu shud b that i can make easily at home nd serve cuz i m really surprised to c a long list of dishes in ur menus

Went to one 2 days ago.For iftaar there were :
pakoras
aaloo chanay
watermelon
fruit chaat
rooh afza drink
For dinner there was :
chicken biryani
chicken salan
aaloo baingan
seekh kabab
qeema
and then kheer and tea.
It was in a restaurant.

Farah, I usuallyfinish making pakoras and all the fried stuff about 10 minutes before iftar time … to ensure they remain hot and crispy, I warm the oven up and leave it on on minimum heat and place all this stuff in it … they come out crispy hot

Ok, so we had two dawats to attend this weekend …
The menu in the first one was :
Pakoray
Samosay
Mediterranian Salad
Dates
Fruit juices
Dinner : veg rice and Chicken koftay +naan
At the second dawat, I had the most awesome food ever The menu was:
Fruit platter containing dates, grapes, strawberries
Then Dinner : samosa’s , dahi balla’s , The bestest ever Chicken Biryani , Keema , Chicken Tikka Masala, naan .. various sauces
Dessert was home made cake, creme pie and Icecream
This weekend , its my turn to do back to back iftari’s 
I hope inshallah it will go well .. will post pics and menu once I have made up my mind ..

I went to a iftaar last week, just iftaar .. no dinner.
Menu was:
Fruit chaat
Dahi ballay
Pakoray
Chicken Alu Cubana (was served with fried eggs)
Chicken Spagetti
Egg sandwiches ( I didn't try them at first but when i did i was so amazed, they tasted yummy!! )
For Dessert:
Home made gulab jamun

So I am hosting a few dawats lined up in a row, yesterday was the first one and mashallah it went brilliantly well ..
The menu was :
Iftar : Pakoray , dahi baray, onion rings, samosa's and fruit
Dinner: Briyani, chicken karahi, koftay and naan with Aloo tikki's
For kids, I prepared non spicy noodles and potato sticks ..
Dessert : zarda & Carrot cake
Mashallah the food went away in a jiffy ... it was all vegetarian for iftar and all meat for dinner ... which sort of worked out well ... I have another dawat tonight and will be busying cooking the whole day .. will report tomorrow inshallah :@:
